How to Wear Bandanas in Your Hair

Hi Glammy's! You guys requested I do a video on how I wear my bandanas ( since I wear them like every day!) so here it is! I think bandanas are one of the easiest, cheapest and quickest ways to take your hairstyle to the next level of cuteness and to add a pop of color and style to any outfit!!! I LOVE them!

The first way you showed is called the Rosie the Riveter. The second way is called The Honeymooner or sometimes the That Girl. The third way is known as the Minnie Mouse. The fourth way is called the Aunt Jemima or sometimes the Compton (Tupac’s fav). The fifth is just like #1. And the sixth is the Comanche. Fun!

First of all, I, too, love your hair! I'm naturally curly but had been flat ironing for YEARS, and have decided to go back to my natural curl. Your hair and your curl type are the closest thing I've seen to my own hair, and your DevaCurl videos are great. You know these products quite well and your styling techniques are great! Secondly, these bandanas are very very cool. I live in southwest Florida and I need a great sweat-catcher daily. The last one, the turquoise one, was the best style! QUICK TIP: if you don’t want to have this problem 2:08, I would recommend tying the second knot in the opposite direction (if you normally place the right side over the left then tuck it through, for the second knot put the left side over the right) it will sit heaps flatter and won’t do the whole twisting around thing. Let me know if you’re still confused.

thank god for the tying it up technique before wearing it down. i used to put the bandana over my hair and then brush the hair out of it but it would rip a ton out lol. tying it up first and then putting it down is so much easier

As an American I can say people that say they make people look like a “gangster” are ignorant. A very popular well known American WWII poster features a woman wearing a red bandana and flexing her muscle with the caption “We can do it!” was used as a way to encourage the recruit of women for defense in the war. Bandanas have also been in used since ancient Roman and Greek times. There’s nothing “gangster” about bandanas.
