This purse is Adorable!! I'm thinking of the pre teens in my family....make them in different colors and fill the purse with little trinkets...pens and chewing gum and little combs and jewelry...Make a nice surprise gift...

This is a great craft project for all the kids stuck at home during the quarantine. You could use pencils for dowels and let the kids choose their own materials to weave. Totally cool project! This video deserves way more views!!

I made stuff on my loom from plastic bags. I find it best to cut them into thin strips and then spin the strips into yarn before using on the loom.

This is just Precious! I will definitely be making this one for sure. How wide did you cut the fabric strips?

Thank you! It was seven years ago - so I'm guessing now how wide the strips were, they look like about one inch wide. Also, they weren't cut. They were torn. Tearing makes a nice rustic edge and adds texture when you weave.

@@lucyjennings How you thread the tapestry needle. I learned that it's "needling the thread" instead of "threading the needle" easier and I do the same, you don't have to cut the end or worry about whether the yarn/thread end is frayed or not.
