I regret having bought a scan n cut. The first one I had, didn't cut at all so had to go through warranty to replace. Back and forth with the company and it took 5 months to finally get the replacement. Only to find it so very complicated to use. I just wanted to do some simple things such as typing a person's name and cut out. You did a great tutorial but the time it takes just to weld a word, takes the fun out of it.

that video is 9 yrs old i think lots of things have changed since then, so much easier and quicker to do it in canvas workspace and send the cut file via wifi to the SNC now

Thank you for this great video, I can hear and understand you loud and clear, thank you so much for sharing. I have been fortunate, to now be a proud owner of a brand new cm 900, I have known of & wanted to purchase the scan n cut machine for years, i'm glad I waited till now (all good things come to those who wait) so true, I am really happy I chose the CM900. I have been a proud owner of a cricut expression machine with several cartridges in recent years, which now working with both machines, I believe the sky is the limit of what I will be able to create with crafts now, oh I am so eager to absorb all I can learn with this beauty machine. For what I have learnt so far from the internet about the brother scan n cut previous models and now the CM900, I would recommend this machine to anyone. i'm off to see your other videos now. thank you, have a awesome crafty day.

Thank you, glad you like my videos and your machine. All my videos are in playlists, so if you are looking how to do something specifically on the machine, have a look in that playlist, if you want to do something in the free online software, Canvas look in that playlist. Hope they help and have fun.

Another tip, as the screen is so small, scale your letters up REALLY big so you can easily see where you are overlapping them before you weld them. Then just scale down the now welded letters to your desired height/width.

Li D yes and now we have the 200-400% zoom its even easier to weld shapes directly on the machine

This is Wonder Woman! In her accent, maybe that would be Wunder Woman! She knows everything about how to do this machine, and she shows you calmly, without drama, so you can follow along. I would only ask this: she knows all the thousand steps to get specific projects done, but there must be some set of rules for the functions so maybe someday I could figure out myself what comes next. I used to write manuals, and I know how people learn; maybe Applelover could go through the commands, show what each one does, and what happens when you add shift, or right click.Remember what the Bible says somewhere:: A man who knows and knows he knows, he is a wise man, follow him." They so neglected women back then. In any event, she is a wise woman, follow her.

+Tina Hamilton Hi thank you, the problem is I don't know , I know. I just play around with Canvas and the machine and see what happens. My main problem is I prefer working in Canvas because its a bigger area to see. Someone has also asked recently about the different functions, so maybe thats a future video. I just need to work out how i can put in to a video project

How do you join up words so they look like they are flowing like in a sentence, or italic looking?

Could you please show a video on the 12x24 mat in ScanNCut cutting a quilt pattern all at once
@applelover5310 жыл бұрын
I don't have the 12x24 mat i didn't buy it because i bought one for a previous electronic cutter over 4yrs ago and i still have it unwrapped and unused! I do have plans to try one of the built in quilt designs on my 12x12 mat so thats maybe a possibility for a video.

Hi, I have scanned in ooper and created an FCM file. However, the oop and the er seem to have saved as two separate pictures? I need to be able to touch one letter and have them all highlight as ONE picture so that I can resize etc Also the middle of the lettes stay put when I pick up the pictures...I hope that makes sense and that you can help me TIA
@applelover5310 жыл бұрын
Zoe Lindsay you have to click the three red boxes and then hit the group/unify box that will select everything and you confirm thats what you want to do. once thats done you can resize it. it may be easier to do it in Canvas online if you struggle doing it on the machine.

I've been trying to weld words but it says patterns cannot be welded.
@applelover536 жыл бұрын
Without seeing what you are trying to do I cannot say, but maybe move the parts you are trying to weld to a different section of the design and see if that works, or if it’s a shape with a seek allowance they won’t weld
