great video. any advice for trying to make sure its all straight if you dont have a frame jig? like where you could take measurements from to make sure youre on the money?

This kit would be pretty difficult to do with out some kind of fixture since it’s just loose tubes. There’s plenty of pre-welded hardtail kits where if you’re careful you can simple use the trans plate to line it all up, digital angle gauge, plumb bobs and rulers for the rest.

Dude that is the best frame job iv seen i got a 74 fxe frame i need I like the fact that you have a jig most guys iv been watching just eyeball it they look pretty good my friends dad just paid $ 1,900 for a aftermarket frame but they need to stamp # vin numbers are you for hire and where you located at reply phone number please good job bro

I like your advice about using both MIG and TIG. I've known some "TIG snobs" who wouldn't hear of using MIG cuz it was beneath them somehow. WTF

TIG snob here, I preach tig over everything for sheet metal and frame work because it creates a more ductile weld. Its all also much more obvious that youre getting good penetration as opposed to "spitting" metal at a casting, only for it to fail.

What amperage did you use?

Usually stick to the 1 amp per .001” for tube wall thickness and is pretty close.
