I'm not gonna buy a grom/z125 just to learn wheelies. I think I'm gonna buy crash bars instead, and use the 680cc bike I have now. Wish me luck! Thanks for the guide!

You totally should honestly, learning new tricks on the little bike is so much easier and less scary. But on the other hand, if your long term goal is to stunt a big bike, then it's definitely possible to start on one, it's just a bit more rizky, and a lot less forgiving. Just be safe man, take it slow, learn at your own pace and BE CAREFUL ❤️

I think chasing is nearly necessary to get a good feel for the back brake and feel comfortable in a wheelie. I started by learning to drop back first and I just keep dropping back, giving too much brake and slamming down. I could drop back but I couldn't keep the wheelie going and I struggled with that for ages. I started doing faster wheelies and in doing so was chasing more but also getting a feel for being in all the o'clocks of the wheelie not just 12 o'clock. I agree you don't want to chase in the beginning if you can help it, but also being told that chasing is BAD can make it hard to progress like it was for me, thinking I CAN'T CHASE the wheelie or else I'm a scrub. Haha, good video!

It's ok to chase a little bit here and there, just dont chase all the way to the limiter before setting it down. If you notice you can't get to balance or slow down, best practice is to just set it down, clutch back up and try again. Especially when your new, the more individual trys the better. But everyone learns differently, so as long as you don't crash or blow up your engine, your doin alright. Keep up the good work man, I believe in you ❤️

I'm currently at the point, where I can comfortably clutch the bike up and hold it for like 10-20sec, without getting too much speed, but I'm not at balance point. Everytime I try to get it higher, it feels like i gonna flip it immediatly. Do you have any advice for me on how I can practice feeling more comfortalbe hitting balance point? Someone told me, that balance point actually is the point when the bike wants to flip and thats the moment I gotta hit the brake softly, is that right?
@chiefreefer04207 күн бұрын
Yes balance point is the sweet spot between it falling either forward or backwards it's a game of playing with light brake pressure and light throttle blips along with balancing with body weight it feels super sketchy at first
@Rizkybidness7 күн бұрын
Yea, as the person in the other reply said, it feels super sketchy at first, but the ONLY WAY to get comfortable with it is to just do it a bunch of times, seriously it's just time. If you have rear brake down really good, just work on goin further and further back, a little bit at a time. Don't take it too fast tho, crashing sucks, little bit at a time and after awhile of working at it you'll get it down.

well done for saying to start on a fun sized bike. nobody ever says that. in the uk, we have 3 stages of lisence for motorbikes. start on a 125cc then can go up to 500cc, then anything above.. its a great system

How many revs?
@Rizkybidness3 күн бұрын
Don't focus on revs, it changes depending on speed and what gear you in. Focus on the sound and the feeling. Also don't look at the gauges, keep your eyes up, looking at where your goin. The ONLY time I ever look at the gauges is to see how fast I'm goin.

If your handle bars are closser to you ie, pass the top tripple clamp bolt, you lower the balence point ,allowing more room before flipping it ?

Its easier to learn on a bike with good power, the easiest bikes are motorcross 250's

The only way to learn is to crash.Sorry to have to say that by a dark bike.Once you master that thing you don't have a basic understanding
@Rizkybidness4 ай бұрын
I disagree, in fact, crashing can very quickly put an end to progress being made if you have to wait months to heal. The goal isnt to crash, the goal is to wheelie, so how could crashing possibly help with that?

Traction control settings are helpful on a modern bike , dial it high .

No you're wrong you don't have to fail every time, sometimes we can achieve success without failure
