I had this same problem and it seemed to never go away and is just something that you have to deal with. After a while i found it easier to get at that back break when i would lean my back further over the back of the bike. I found my self trying to lean forward way to much when the front tire was up. Hope this helps!!

Hey Dude. I had that same problem when i started learning. To stop the rear tire from spinning try not to learn on a gravel or concrete road. I used grass witch seemed to give me the most traction. Also trying to learn going up hill really helps with bringing that front tire off the ground. When it comes to your front tire feeling like its coming up quick thats most likely due to way to much gas when popping the clutch. Make sure your doing all the body motions like pulling up on the........

you know what you're talking about, that's nice to see. i personally think that back brake is the most important thing about wheeling and first thing you should actually do is to get comfortable with the brake, so you don't pull it over.

well done, good advice. i'm trying to learn on my crf450. i don't need to clutch it up just whisky throttle and it comes up in any gear. i would love to see you do this same type of video on a big 4 stroke like mine. everything should be the same just minus the clutch work, right?

best tutorial video for the wheelie bro
@Gallardo66699 жыл бұрын
hey man thx for your tutorial! i need to learn the wheelie on the motorcycle but im really good on my downhill bike..to give you an advise regarding the turning during the wheelie: its not the leaning to the side to make it turn. its more like a twist you give to the bike:consider your main body steady during the wheelie,now you give with your legs a sideway push to the bike without any leaning movement.e.g.:you wanna turn left so your right leg followed by your right hib has to push forward as you wanna turn the bike left around an imaginary vertical axis going through the rear tire...also try at the same time the same twist with your arms,right hand push forward left hand pulls handle bar back towards you. let me know if it helped....

Great vid bud, I got a CR250 and was always nervous to wheelie. Hit jumps and ride trail but was worried I would flip the bike. After watching your vid it have me more confidence. I have it a shot this weekend. Didn't go all that well but got the front end up. Need more practice to do those sweet slow wheelies. Any tips for doing it on a 2 stroke 250? I'm a small guy 5'7" 150lbs so this bike is a beast for me lol

hi there. nice video ! so, I have a little problem : when I pop the clutch on grass (offroad) the rear wheel just spins.. why is that ? also, is there any way to get rid of the feeling that I'm going up too quickly and I'm gonna flip backwards if I don't let off the gas ? (even if my front wheel is at 10 cm above the ground , 0:13 in the video response) btw you make it look easier with your kx.. you don't even reach the powerband lol.. To rise my front tire I have to give it x3 more gas..
@Impossibilty23211 жыл бұрын
To turn on a wheelie this is what I do i turn the bars the opposite way your heading... and lets say you going left.. start on a curve that is leaned to the left, pop a wheelie and turn the bars the opposite direction your going (right) and once there turned slightly pull on them and barely lean it is scary at first but once you get it you do it like every time you possibly can! its so fun!

I guess a good tip to also add to this video is the gear you'd ideally want to be in. although yes you can perform a wheelie in every gear 1 - 5 it is best to be in a lower gear 2 preferably you can do it in 5 but it'll require you to pull back on your bike because you're already in max gear so clutch popping isn't gonna help you on its own you'll need to provide aid. Also I found wheeling into turns easy if you stand up when you turn then go straight into wheelie from there don't immediately sit though once you're in the wheelie or you'll throw balance off and crash (bad experience)

i did bmx for years, so i can imagine that leaning in a wheelie to turn wouldnt be much different? i could be wrong. when you get your front wheel up and find that balance point, twist your body using your shoulders, slightly in the direction you want to turn, your in control of the bike, not the bike control you. so you need to guide it. also point your front wheel in the direction you want to go. also body position, leaning your body the way you want to go. if this comment is useless i apologise, but if it helps please let me know :)
