One correction when talking about infinity edge and Caitlyn's ultimate around 5:30. Cait's ult does not scale with critical strike damage. It does scale with crit chance. It's still a good item that boosts her ultimate damage, but just wanted to throw that out there.

the problem is: you are looking to high elo, adc's doesent survive in low-mid elo, so thats why lethality is better

Problem is Caitlin is the solo adc that covers teammates that don't know how to play. If you can't execute Caitlyn then swap to another role or game. Ez is probably the only other that's easier to stay safe. But if you're low elo then you should stay away from his kit which is primarily rewarded for landing skill shots along with weaving autos. Additionally, enemy adc is in the exact same position.

How to play Caitlyn in low ELO and win 70% of your games. Ensure you are CSing better than your opponent. Aim for 6.9 - 7.5 CSM. Obviously you want to get as much as possible, but it's low ELO. Always look for harassing opportunities against enemy ADC. If you can get a head shot or trap shot on the enemy ADC, prio that over 1 or 2 CS. Don't chase kills, force people out of their lane via harassing to maximize your XP and Gold disparity between you and your opponent. After getting your first item (this season it's Collector), start fighting more and hunting for kills with your R. Never EVER overstay. If your brain ever says "I should go back" go back. Stay in your lane until either your tower falls or your enemy's tower falls. Don't force it unless you have a staggering lead against the entire enemy team. Keep CSing. Once the laning phase ends. Leverage your lead. Start looking for fights. The key here, is to not start the fights. You are going to join in the fights. Head mid, focus on CSing and watch your dumb teammates pick fights for no reason, or follow the most fed person on your team and assist them in their fights. Prioritize your positioning. Caitlyn has advantages other Champs don't. You can do an entire team fight with a wall between you and the fight, and most low ELO players won't pay attention to you until it's too late. Recognize who recognizes you as the major threat and kill them. Never let the player who knows you are the danger, get away with attacking you, you must neutralize them. After gaining a player advantage 3/5, always look to push an objective. Baron, Dragon and Towers in that order. I played 10 Caitlyn games in the bottom of the barrel elo yesterday. Climbed 2 divisions (almost 3) and won 8 of the games to boot. In low ELO, mental is probably the most important part to be real. My mental has been shit for so long. I'm glad it's in a better place now. If your mental is shit (which it probably is based on your comment), work on that first.

12:51 neither side played that well at all. Walking into a Jax 3 levels up on you is already insane, okay we’ll say it’s for the bait. Caitlyn doesn’t W or even Q with the net. And if the Jax had any confidence at all as a player instead of running away, Cait is just dead there. Counter strike was up, AA>W>AA is kill, plus Maokai was following up.

iam the number 17 cait on the EU Server(Master Rank) and i can tell you that in some cases u go lethel temp against tank supp bec u mostly go for long range fight also U ALWAYS BUILD first Item statik shiv bec u rly need it early at late you can sell it and buy storm also one note against leona and naut u never go heal and instead cleanst thx anyway and i hope all caits improves

Static was the best on Cait before the nerfs, but is it still good after it got nerfed so many times? I mean it gives really good stats(50 ad is kinda disgusting), but buying it for that active does feel like a waste.

Before watching the video, I'll write one rule: get your duo support. Without this, don't even try to raise the rank by playing Caitlin solo in the rank. It's better to switch to any other role, from support to top - it's just easier.

Caitlyn was playing great, but that Rakan omg he was a monster. He knew the combos, how to engage and disengage the right moments, how to perfectly protect Caitlyn and punish the enemy mistakes.😁

The one caveat I'd offer is that while Youmuus Cait is kinda memes only, Duskblade Cait definitely can carry even into tanks. Cait has a strong early game so layering on Lethality helps a LOT. Duskblade buffs everything in her kit including headshots and has amazing stats. With it you don't have to worry about haste and your abilities are constantly up with your Ult having insane cool downs late game. Invincibility + the Q one shot really makes it work well. This is a choice and not always the right one but personally this build feels like it's viable most of the time while not the best into multiple tank scenarios. In that case you go either Stormrazor/Krakken IE. Rest of the build is fairly similar. Duskblade Collector LDR generally. I think Lethality with Dark Harvest gives you an abundance of early game dominance that scales absurdly well. I'm not saying it's the best build but I think it most matches her identity in the game currently but is even footing with Stormrazor IE which scales harder into Tanks and gives a lot more utility than pure frontloaded damage.

Caitlyn had such a huge agency in this game purely because Graves recognized he had to play bot and had good gank and countergank timings. If you ever end up being a weakside Cait lane, things will fall apart very fast because she heavily relies on that early game lead. Think of what would have happened in this game if Maokai's presence wasn't matched ? Even in ~Masters, not all junglers play bot with Cait, so below that it's very optimistic to think you can have as much agency as this Cait in 70% of your games Just my opinion, but you didnt mention being strongside at all, however the video is great at analyzing how to convert a strongside into victories

To me i find that mid game is the nightmare for cait due to her lack of AS. Thus i try build w Storm razor, Kraken, phantom and then IE. This build make cait strong at every stage of the game.
