how to win auctions on eBay tip on how to win ebay auction

just a quick video on how I win auctions on eBay. bid in the last seconds and hope no one outbids you. I put my bid in on this one early and might have lost it to someone else but that would have been ok. I wasn't really sure if u really really wanted the shoes so really winning didn't really matter for this particular auction. but after watching no movement for the last 30 mins I knew I was gonna get it. bid in the last 10 seconds and see how that works out for you. thanks for watching

You confirmed a little sooner than I would have. An auction sniper will typically wait until 2-4 seconds to confirm (depending on internet connection) that way nobody has a chance to increase the max. 15-20 seconds is plenty for someone to increase the max. Still, nice win on the shoes

People but their highest bid before the auction ends, and doesn’t show up on the price but will tell you that you aren’t the highest bidder. So if you bid on the last second you won’t win because someone else put a higher bid that didn’t even show up on the price happened to me multiple times.

First of all you put your bid in a little too early. Plus there was still plenty of time left for another bidder to place a bid. I would have refreshed the page before 5 seconds was left.

So basically the starting bid was 15 and it was another bid on it so I increase mine the last four seconds I was happy I won but then the guy canceled and said “sorry The bid To low” it was too low for him to accept even though I won so he canceled honestly that’s so scummy

I'm new to buying on ebay, and have just bidded on an item in the UK. Something that I didn't realise (until just now), is that they will add VAT (Value Added Tax), to my bid price, but if you win the bid, do ebay add any charges as well?..

I used to win bids on eBay all the time doing this but my question is why do people place bids days and hours before the actual time and increase the price? Something to watch out for, and a lot of sellers are guilty of this: on items listed on bid they will have a secondary account run by themselves or a buddy which they use to drive up the price. So next time you're bidding on something and you're up against someone being really persistent, it could be the seller you're bidding against.

It happened because the other bidder had set there max bid to higher than what you bid, assume a bid is at €2 with 5 min left, I set max bid to €5 which means ebay will bid €2.50 for me now and if someone bids higher ebay auto bids for me up to my max bid value that I set, so in your case someone had there max set higher than yours so when you bid with even 1 or 2 secs left ebay auto bids the other person's bid immediately because it is higher than yours, I hope that was a straight forward explanation

Once the bidder submits their max bid via the proxy snipe tool they're using, the AI initiates a bid on eBay (i.e with 2 minutes remaining - timestamp is linked to this point of the process), but doesn't complete the submitting of said bid until the last micro second. So the proxy bidder can submit a bid at the end whilst concealing their true max bid. Proxy bidders can be beaten by manual bidders, but the proxy bidders do have an (unethical) advantage.
