Yep. Not mechanically ofc, but you have to be great at macro management and have a good game knowledge overall to perform properly on garen. He's very simple to play, yes, but that also means his strengths and weaknesses are VERY obvious, so you need to know wtf you're doing if you don't want to end up 0/5 without any impact on the map at the end of laning phase.

@@GreyPunkWolf What you're explaining is the same for literally every champ. To have macro, knowledge and know what you're doing. The difference is that other characters that actually require an active braincell to play gets punished harder than Beginnaren. You can quite literally be 0-5 as Garen, get those 2 generic items that literally every single Garen purchases following their little guide and use your unfailable combo to oneshot most champs, while having uneccessarily high dmg, movementspeed and regeneration, and lets not forget is tanky. Nothing anyone say will ever justify Garen as require more than basic knowledge, just copium for insecure comfort pickers who refuses to challenge themselves. I'm not saying it's OP or broken. I main toplane, and all i face is Garens. You proceed to beat them, the problem is making them 0-5 doesn't stop them from being relevant, as it stops other champions. BUT HEY, that's just my opinion :)

I mean Greaves is a crazy spike for Garen for how his E works and movement speed is overall great for him. Also Garen has built in healing from passive so its probably not bad in some situations.
