I have watched a few government contracts videos on KZbin, which sparked an interest, but it is still quite confusing with all of the information there is out there, and it can be overwhelming at times. Would you mind doing a dedicated video for beginners looking to get into government contracting but don't where to start. I would like a step by step beginners tutorial or guide from picking a niche registering on sam.gov as a business or just being the middle man and whatever else you would like is to know after doing that because you have plenty of informative videos on how to find contracts, what to do next. How long does the government take to pay out an award? I heard it was up to 30 days once you're awarded the contract. Ive also heard payouts can take up to 30 days only once the contract has been completed. Can you clarify?

Can you explain what the process is? They award you a contract? So for example they award you a 1 million dollar contract…you complete it and after they pay you that 1 million in 15-60days ?

⁠@@shahtraders5719that’s not how it works at all. You have to be qualified before they will even award the bid to you. You have to show proof of your line of credit. If you can’t finance the project they won’t award you the bid. In my experience unless my revenue is $10k/month I couldn’t get a line of credit through my business. You will have to show proof of income statements showing that your business is producing revenue. You will need to get bonded. Most bids require a 10% bid bond of contract total. So for a 1 million dollar contract you will need to be bonded for $100k just to place your bid in. You’ll need insurance and workers comp. All this cost money and a lot of overhead. If you aren’t an established business with a good amount of revenue with project experience of which you are biddingit’s super hard to get qualified.
