Like the intro a lot. On a side note, I personally dislike payout games. I understand the business model behind it, but it's just legalized gambling for kids... only worse. At least with adult gambling, when you _do_ hit payout, you get your winnings 100% of the time. With these payout games, when you hit payout, you still have to complete the skill portion of the game -- and if you miss, you're SOL. You don't get to try again until payout comes around again. And for kids who aren't quite there yet with their hand-eye coordination, they're doubly screwed. [edit] Also, thank you for educating people about these games. Kids and parents should know these things.

You're partially correct for payout, however, once a game like this is ready to payout, it will remain in payout until a win is registered for that row. But you are also 100% correct on the 100% skill part not being a guaranteed win. Also, if a machine has a broken win sensor, it will register a win every play, no matter if you win or lose, thus resetting the payout on every play.

Does the payout rate reset whenever the machine is turned off/on? Or does it save

It should save. The only 2 ways the payout is reset is when a win happens or the vendor goes in and “resets” it manually.

Is the payout rate similar to key master when they both have similar prizes?

Possibly. The payout rate is set by the vendor, per row. So you never know what it's going to be.Some vendors will do a 50% profit margin, and some will do a 300% profit margin.

Question why in the same rows the prizes are worth more then others does that mean that the payout rate is different for each Prize or each row. Why not put the same dollar amount prizes in the same row if that's the case?

I'm guessing you're referring to things like $200 gift cards on the same row as $100 gift cards. In this case, it's an enticement to play for the bigger prize, and once that's won, then most people don't know that the payout is set for a higher prize. A regular person doesn't know this about the game, so they play thinking they can win.
