This is the hardest of the non Gr.3 endurance races. You need to be putting down some solid lap times to win this. The reason it's hard is because R. Kokuban does not pit for Wets during the heavy rain (like everyone else does). So you should stay on Inters as well, to have a good chance of winning. I won by 50+ secs after 3 attempts. Average dry lap was in the 1:01 range. Difficulty set to Hard. I used RH tires and Fuel 6 for the first stint, and pitted at lap 22. Did not change tires. Pitted again at lap 35 or so for inters. Fuel 3. TC to 3 for this stint. Wets are really not necessary. Pitted again at lap 51 for RH. Fuel 1 to the end. Good luck!

I just did it started with fuel mapping on 6 completed 24 laps before first stop. Kept RH tyres but one or 2 laps later car was undriveable in rain so did another pitstop just intermediates no fuel... Than I only did one more stop for fuel put the fuel mapping to 1 and completed 55 laps in 1 hour and 1 sec first place difficulty set to hard I finished on intermediates so only changed tyres once the whole race

This one doesn't seem to work now. Consistent times below 1:01s 58, 59 on the last stint. Completed 57 laps, was a lap behind in 5th place, 2 more than someone here who won. 3 bloody times I've done this stupid race and you don't even get any credits after the first go

a key factor on rain i think is the vertical bar between your car/tires and your cam (partially covered). That meter either details the waterlogging of the track as you are driving on it. I was racing a 700pp series on a european track that gets heavy rain halfway through, the car became untenable to control when the meter filled 2/3rds so I had to swap to intermediate and it performed better. Later in the race when the track started to dry the bar started to recede and traction became better. You can use that bar to gauge your pit tire strategy as much as the precipitation strength. You can see with the earlier drizzle it was 1/3rd but in the heavier later rain it jumped to 2 bars out of 3.

For anybody struggling with this, I just managed to get gold on my third try after this strategy wasn’t working for me. Only did two pits, and won by about 10-15 seconds with the AI spinning me out on the second to last lap, would’ve won by 30secs+ otherwise. Started on RS, fuel map on 4 for 10 laps, then on 6 until you pit on lap 25 when the rain starts coming down properly. Put on IMs and full refuel, keep fuel map between 4-6 until the track clears up around lap 45. Then pit a second time, put on RS and enough fuel to finish with fuel map on 1 (10-11 laps - make sure you stick to the dry line!) No need for wet tyres, IMs are fine. Just stick with it and manage your fuel properly. The AI will pit at least 3 times, some 4. Took me until lap 40 or so to hit first place.

The gauge next to the tire wear shows how wet the track is. If it's under half you really shouldn't have to think too much about swapping off slicks.

Ooof. The leader is an eye opener in this race. I was lapping on average 1:02. Pitted early for the final sunshine stage. Was able to close to within 30 seconds of leader with about 4-5 laps remaining. I pushed too hard and caught the wet spots and skidded off 3 times on the last few laps. Little did I know the AI would pit 3 laps straight for fuel for some reason. I finished 9 second behind. Dunno if the AI was just playing a cruel joke or what but it hurts knowing I had a shot had I kept it on track.

Im so done with this race, i did the exact same strategy as you did and was even driving the same lap times. But just after 15 minutes, so at the time of the first stop i was behind 50 seconds… . I ended that race with a total of 55 laps and a gap of 1:18minutes to the leader … what i find so confusing is that i am driving the same lap times as you and drive the same strategy but then there is this huge difference ?!

I was wondering why the Trial Mountain Endurance Race was so hard to catch up to the others…… switched it to normal and it’s way easier. Did the Sardegna race a few times last night and the Viper ran out of fuel and would not pit. Kept making other cars crash or get stuck behind it. Polyphony has much work left to do…. :/

Did it with two stops only ! Take it as being "the tortoise and the hare", but you do not want to be the hare as it's pointless trying to beat the cheating AI on outright pace. Be the tortoise ! All you need are mediums & inters. As soon as it starts drop the fuel map to 6 and keep up a consistant lap time of around 1.02. This should get 25 minutes in to the race. As you pit the rain starts, so fit inters and a full tank of fuel. Head out - still on map 6 - and keep a steady pace. You should get around the 1.05 mark until it really gets wet. Keep going for another 25 minutes until you hit around 10 minutes to go. This is when the sun comes out and dry line appears. Hit the pits - on your way in go up to map 1 - and fit the mediums plus a full tank of fuel. Last 9 minutes is a flat out sprint to keep ahead of th cheating AI. Note be careful to stay on the dry line or you'll be off and wasted all that effort ! This should easily bring you the win as while you only stop twice the AI stops 4~5 times. All you need is the stock car. Change race brake pads, and set the front camber to 2.1 degrees. Then add medium slicks and inters. Set TC to 3 Fuel Map 6, 6, 1

This is the way. I’m glad I scrolled down far enough to find your comment. My car was stock I didn’t change anything on it. I bought racing mediums and intermediate tires. Started with fuel map 6 and medium tires and I just about made the fuel stop cos I ran out of fuel lol then changed to intermediate and fuel map 6 and it was hard when it really started to rain but I noticed the ai kept pit stopping whereas I was just going around the track even if slowly in the rain. Less than 10 mins left I changed to medium tires set fuel Map to 1 and I won by 17 seconds. I did have some accidents in the race as well.

TOUGH! Thanks for the info. I used parts of your setup (and your followup video) to help win this. Also @carlohelder down below, thanks for the tip. No matter what I do I couldn't match the 57s the leader was posting, setting difficulty to normal really helped (ver1.35). I won by two laps on my final try. Staying on Inters in the rain also helped. Pit as little as possible! Thanks again guys!

I think these endurance events are broken. I can just about get to 9th place in all of them but can never catch up with anyone else after that. Oh, except for the BAC Trial Mountain event where I got to 2nd place with a- erm, un-tuned car somehow. Also, the pit times are ridiculous. It takes almost 40 seconds for me to enter and exit the pit whereas I'm sure the A.I are going through quicker...

Something seems a bit broken with this event for some people. If the ai are running faster than 59 second lap times I'd suggest restarting the session a few times to see if the ai laptimes change. Otherwise I'm not sure what to suggest. That needs to be fixed. Luckily i didnt have this issue

Was doing the Kei car one and realized one thing: after the final pit stop, the top AIs are *dramatically* slower. Beforehand me and the top 2 are battling hard and within 3s Delta. After final pitstop I suddenly lead the 2nd by 10s!? I suspect they are slowing intendedly and the key to win is to stay close the first 2/3 and finally it may let you pass.

I’ve done the race 3 times and got second my first time. For my 2nd and 3rd attempt, my lap timer turned red towards the end of the race and I didn’t receive any credits after finishing 3rd. My last time I won and received 500k but the lap timer turned red again after my pit stop on the 49th lap. I don’t know what’s going on? I’m not cutting the track or anything. Is there a pit rule I’m breaking that I don’t know about? First race it did not do that

You won’t receive any more credits from until you finish in a better position. The red lap times just mean you’re on an outlap from pits I think.

The rain keeps going off on mine for like 3/4 laps then comes straight back on soon as I switch to slicks and completely ruins my race after spending half an hour racing. Seems rigged asf. Plus the AI is on softs pretty much the whole race and doesn't seem affected by the rain at all

Thanks I used your settings (bar the mid range turbo) before trying it. I thought the bigger turbo would just be more of a handful in the rain. Lapped 2nd place twice. Came in on lap14 for fuel didn't change tyres as I new it would rain soon, then just pitted everytime the weather changed. Weird thing was that the A.I ran on intermediates through the rain, then changed to wets on lap 44 as the rain stopped then went back in the pits on lap 45. Very odd. Anyway, Easy peasy, thanks mate.

Very usefull tips! Thnx! I copied your setup after the 1st race (9th). Then it took me 2 times more to get the gold medaille. You are 2 seconds faster the me, so it was more difficult to win the race and i’m trying to find the 2 seconds. Maybe its an option to spend a video in which you can explain more about how to setup a car for a race. Something what will help ME a lot to bring my laptimes down. If the AI are insanely fast I'd suggest restart the session until the ais are doing slower than 59 or 1min0sec lap times because anything faster than 59 is unrealistically unbeatable. I hope you get the win

The G29 is a pretty hard wheel, most people are fine with it I guess but I certainly get uncomfortable hands after long periods without gloves

1:02 is not actually bad, I feel like if you can bring it to 1:01s or maybe squeeze the 1:00s, that should be good enough. Make sure to keep off of that regular racing line in the wet, keeping to the wider line and being cautious when crossing over the slippery line. Other than that, I can really only suggest to practice this track a lot, using all of the track and making all the apexes to pull your times down just a tiny bit more. I feel like you shouldnt be too far off.

I did it with 2 attempts. 1st attempt try finished whatever place i am, 2nd attempt AI its little bit slower than 1st attempt and i tunning my car to short ratio (focus on acceleration) my top speed around 170 km/h and its on redline. Finished about 21 sec ahead include lot of spinning. Or you just tune your car quick accel in 1st attempt

The A.I also get trapped alot behind back markers when they come up to lap them so depending on where they catch them the either past quickly or get stuck in a train of cars. Could be why some players times differ alot

Interesting. I thought having a turbo wouldn't be worth it, since you'd have to add so much weight and take off power as well. I drove the race without the turbo and lapped some 1 second slower than you were doing. I still won but couldn't get that one extra lap in.

I can confirm. Changing the difficulty from easy to normal is helping. Previously AI was doing 58 sec/lap, and on normal 1:00. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Restarting the session will give the AI a different outcome. They perform differently each time so keep going till you get a lucky run

Managed to get 3rd but damn the two cars in front of me are so damn fast, powering out of corners like it's nothing while im trying to keep the backend under control. And rain seems to have no effect on them. I race on nomal difficulty. I did try hard but couldn't even get passed 6th place and gave up mid race. *EDIT*: It seems that the patch messed with the PP rating. I started this race and now my car with RM tires had 605pp, forcing me to nerf the car a bit more. With RS tires I have to go down to 192hp...

I guarantee you that when your moving your brake balance forward you are actually causing oversteer in the car. GT7 has the settings reversed and messed up. Things like toe-in, toe-out, negative camber, brake balance etc., are all in reverse compared to real life. It is truly shocking how they've got these settings wrong.

This DOES NOT work. Arguably I'm running 1:00.x lap times whereas you're at 59 seconds, but the whole race the top 3-4 cars pull away from me from a time perspective and I can not catch up. I even tried with your revised settings and the best I am doing is 3rd.

The ai should be running no faster than 1:00.x. in all my runs only a couple times they broke into the 59s. I'd suggest to reset the session, run it again till the ai arent getting below 1min. If you're still struggling then the 1.13 update must have something to do with it because it was perfectly fine personally before it

Try the reb bull ring one next. I had it in the bag until I stayed out to long on wets rather than just putting in for a set of drys Oh and I can vouch for covid being $#it - 7 days into it and still keep feeling worse with each passing day 🤧🤒😷. Great videos- appreciate it bud👍

The line isnt a "nasty oily line" its the rubbered in line, thats what youre avliding in the wet

250 is a bit high I think, not sure this car with 600pp can hit that mark, maybe with lowering it to max possible speed on backstreight (approx 200-210kph) you'd get even a bit more power, lower times per lap... It's one time prize... AI is fixed by missions, you can see how hard it is before entering missions (number of peppers on mission picture)...

I've seen a few people struggling with ai driving 57 second laptimes which seems incredibly broken. I'd suggest reload your race a few times and see if their laptimes change at all. I luckily didnt have this issue. 57 second laptimes seems unbeatable

With controller way to hard if you ask me... if you play on easy OR medium you're out of luck the ai will do 0:57.5 times on hard at least first place "only" laps at 0:59.3 witch is doable, but It's freaking hard, ditch all engine tuning for soft tires, and now I'm able to do high 0:59 and low 1:00 but one IA you have to overtake or lap and yeah out of luck, or you get shunted of the track 'cause the AI just sucks TBH, sadly my wheel-set-up is only VR so can't test it on my t300, but yeah won't try that any more just not worth the time

The AI destroyed twice the lago magiore race for me because they kept ramming me and damage my car bc its on easy ur slow for idk 20 seconds or so and that lost me the first place xD They do have to tweak them a bit but apart from the laptimes/challenge it wasnt hard at all but i saw some comments telling easy mode should be the dark souls in gt7 xDDD

Lago Maggiore is broken IMO. They run 1:56 times no matter the difficulty. I can't get faster than 1:59 tops, 2:00 no matter the car. I tried Z4, M6 Endurance, AMG GT3 '16, Castrol Tom's Supra. I play on Razer Raiju controller.

​@@TorettoHuNGameplays Hey mate, I did it with the Corvette, u can fuel save pretty well with the car if u change gears manual (about half way when the line is about to match the gear ur in, maybe a bit later u can shift up) But apart from that i tuned it max took the hardest tyre (no setup changes at all) i´ll play on Hard with a logitech wheel and my personal best was about a low 1:55 cant rly remember the pace of the AI but they definetly wherent that fast got over the finish line with almost 1 lap to third place. what else i can recommend is trying to find a setup u like or try to look for a car that can fuel save pretty well.

@@TorettoHuNGameplays i’ve been running 1:57 / 1:58 on fresh tires. I hit 1:59 on worn tires. I also set the fastest lap time, but the guy N. Rubilar is pissing me off! I don’t know how he catches up to me so fast. I would be at least 5 seconds ahead of the guy, but somehow he manages to catch up like i’m not even trying. On one instance, i took turn 4 of Maggiore a bit wide, the guy was about 1.5 seconds back, and he literally passed me like I was standing still! I couldn’t believe it! I was so mad that I just rammed my car into the dude. I broke my car and the guys didn’t even loose control! 🤣🤣 i just quit after that, i was on lap 17 using the F-type.

I've been on hard. Hard seems to be the most reliable difficult. But these events are supposed to be a set difficulty where the difficulty options dont have an effect. I'm not sure if they have fixed the easy/normal bug yet

First 22 laps rh tires power 6, pit change tires to intermediate power 3 petrol always full on every pit, lap 44 pit again intermediate and power 3 or 2 last few laps on 1. I won by 25 seconds no problem

Hi, my difficulty is set to hard. I was able to set a lap times of 1.2 to 1.4. And I still got lap twice. The AI is so fast its crazy. I love your reviews great work. Keep it coming. 💯 👍🏾😁

I don't understand how your AI is so slow.. I watch many of your videos and attempted this one 3 time this morning. By lap 7 your 5s behind leader... I'm 32 seconds. Yet comparing lap times I'm doing constant 1:01.2 🙄

That’s not oily track. Your tires have no grip. Also there is only 1 difficulty level on missions It’s a set difficulty

The car loses all grip when crossing that racing line. There are difficulty levels and that's why so many people are struggling on easy. It seems that hard is the easiest difficulty for now

If there are peppers on the thumbnail, it's a fixed difficulty. With missions it's fixed to the thumbnail of the mission.

This isnt the case because multiple people have stated their problems with easy difficulty being impossible and then found hard a more realistic option.

I just went right now and put the ai on easy, did some laps at the tsukuba race. The ai were jumping right into low 58 second lap times. I then put the ai back onto hard and they went back to 1:00-1:01 times. The only time I've had the AI do ridiculous times is when I set it on easy. It's a bug. Maybe it's intended to be a set difficulty but it's clearly not like that right now. I'm sure it will be fixed.

@@unleasheddrivers1281 I haven't done that race, but I started the game at hard and with grinding for credits I chose easy, I noticed the only difference between hard and easy was the AI indeed being a few seconds quicker and especially being a lot more aggressive to the point it was near impossible to finish with a clean race bonus. I wanted to see if they'd still brake in-turn and they did. Since then I've always put it on easy because they have nothing to add in skill level at hard and only cost me credits. On the other hand, half the races with the multiple (4 or 5 ) peppers in the thumbnail I have trouble winning, some friends don't, so it's definitely a skill thing with me being just average. But I was thinking the same thing, if the setting affects a race it shouldn't, it's probably a bug like there are plenty in this game 😅 I'm doing the race this evening, I'll see if they also run sub 1' laps with the setting set at easy

Take time to get the lines right. Make sure you are not using the easy level AI. They are broken at the moment, way too fast

I got gold from the 1st try with the the stock setup, this race did not seem hard. But I guess there's some luck involved as there is some variability with the weather and opponents. Best advice if stuck is to go back to the main menu and try again with better luck.

I've almost deleted this game because of this rigged piece of shit its got me upset asf. I'm fine and pulling 1 minute flats constantly but soooon as it starts raining heavily it's like it doesn't effect the AI as much as me I can't go anywhere near the throttle and I just spin even on wets. They go full power out corners it's ridiculous

All races follow the same progression in terms of weather. It may not be identical to the second but it is close enough. The main difference Is the ai performance
