I guess we do if we turn our minds to God and remember "When they treat you unkind and attempt to ruin your day, Stop, Pray and Walk away (SPW)" ~ Charmaine J. Forde or as you say Telsha "Repent, Obey God and turn away from evil." Amen to that!! 🙏💪💝 The feeling of lack when you're ghosted or given the silent treatment is one where we feel drawn to focus back on the narc to fill the painful gap that they're leaving, so red flag it pronto and fill that gap with a huge titanium steel boundary of a sign that literally screams "ACCESS DENIED!" and points our minds back on God, our path of purpose and our own self care needs. If we were Banks we'd need more good deposits than bounced cheques, bad credit and withdrawals wasting our time and energy. Being good fruit inspectors or credit assessors means we'd need to refuse the rotten apples and blind destructo bow and ballet shoe wearing rhinos. Walking our talk to stay high vibing sovereign involves depositing good values, intentions, thoughts, words and deeds back into ourselves consistently and to carefully discern where we're allowing others opportunities to withdraw from and empty out our piggy banks as they please so we don't join with these fools in their folly. I had this issue with my lil sister giving random silent treatments and although we worked through it eventually it involved absolutely not caring if you lose the relationship and speaking your truth. When they know you're seriously not playing their game they either leave or level up. It's a really hard step to take yet it feels so incredibly empowering once you do it that you'll want to keep doing it whenever you're confronted with ghosting or silent treatment as it removes all stress and anxiety so you'll see things clearer and end up gratefully treating it as peaceful "me time" where you get to reconnect with your higher self and the Holy Spirit. It's hard to heal when they or their flying monkeys keep popping up but yes, no contact "ACCESS DENIED" or at least grey rock gives us back a much needed measure of peace and recovery time and Tea gives us all her loving support, wisdom and God's good guidance that we need to heal to whole again. I read again earlier that ghosting is emotional abuse as it causes cognitive dissonance especially when inconsistent or prolonged but I treat it as time out for some much needed peace more and more. I just commented on a Sam Vaknin and Richard Grannon video on failure to develop object constancy at around 2yrs being the set point for a toddler becoming a narcissist by making mummy into an "external object" so I wrote this ... Latest research shows object constancy exists in some babies from 3.5-5 months age with most reaching it by 10-24 mths. Good enough mothering naturally has some slight absences that foster delayed gratification and the infant's self efficacy in self soothing. There's methods we can use at any age to "rupture and repair" the individual experiencing splitting in a self controlled manner if they're encouraged to see the value of putting in the effort needed consistently. This can be achieved by guiding a child through many and various examples of recognising persons and objects in and out of view and in various states. A mother can gently switch between various emotional states and return to neutral or play hide and seek type games using objects and mirror work. Mothers would need to use good, safe, eye contact, words, tone, actions and consistency in nurturing care and routines for the most part to build or repair the bond and attachment in a healthier manner. Adults can write a list of what they like, love and value about those closest to them, learn it by heart, carry it with them and refer to it when triggered to split to seeing the other as all bad. It helps to have the other do this as well and be patient, take turns listening, and be supportive in working through issues such as fear of abandonment, cheating, or whatever opinions, actions and perspectives are triggering a negative response to encourage increased self and other awareness, develop resilience in frustration/stressor tolerance and moderate emotional lability. If it's all too good and veering towards fantasy then reverse it a tad at a time towards reality and more neutral and moderate. Add a strong "why" you're doing it such as to be a better parent or partner and write up a list of alternate actions to take as well such as when angry to stop, breathe, calm down before communicating by going outdoors, exercising, taking a shower, punching a pillow, etc., allowing time to think things through so commmunication is more responsive than reactive. Just a few thoughts, thanks for inspiring. 💞 My brain went there tonight thinking about how ppl might better manage living with narcs, it's late so I hope it makes sense. She left me exactly one year ago today. Without reason and without justification. We spent seven days together. She had to go to hospital. It was an emergency. I brought her to the hospital, I took care of her flat. I live 600 miles away from her. I was so tired when I went home by car. I promised her I'd call her at 6am. I called 10 minutes late. So at 6:10am . And suddenly I was dumped. I wrote to her every day. Called her. Sent her a card at Christmas and gifts and all she sent back again without opening it. But I was never blocked. She read everything on Facebook Messenger. But never answered. Until 2 weeks ago I wrote to her. I was so stupid. But I wanted an explanation. Life goes on and I hope she will never come back. But you said they'd come back. So I changed my numbers and deleted all email addresses. I am 38 now and she is 58. I gave her my love and my youth. I went from Germany to France EVERY weekend. Even during the pandemic. I never thought someone would throw me away like rubbish for no reason. Even today I can't understand it. I really love her very much. But I also know that I was never loved or she wouldn't have treated me like that. The pain is deep. People, if you can, block everything. And start healing

If they discard you, you better take it for what it really is which is an easy way out. Its a huge blessing when they choose to walk away because its the trash taking itself out. It saves you the trouble of arguing with them. Its also your opportunity to cut off all means of communication. Block them from social media, phone, e-mail and if they relay messages to you through others, tell the others not to relay messages to you from them. My ex made a pitiful attempt lol to do this to me, thinking he would gain control and instead he lost everything because I was glad he left lol. He tried to keep ties the very next day after he left and I said nope, not interested, and blocked him. I never looked back and been so at peace.

3 months after the discard the narc’ came over and as if nothing happened he tried to kiss me. I took a step back and refused him to kiss me. Right after that the evilness ramped up, got a restraining order in the end. I’ve got my life back, in a mess yes but at least I had time to go through the pain and heal, still healing from it ❤

This is true! I had to move out the house my narcissist and I shared AFTER he moved out. He thought that whenever he came to town for whatever reasons, he was going to be able to just "stop by."😐 I moved and didn't tell him, and blocked him before he knew I had moved. So, I know when he came back for a visit and came by to see WHY I had blocked him, he was hotter than fish grease when he realized I had moved! 🤣🤣🤣 I already knew the game he THOUGHT he was going to be playing, but I always stayed two steps ahead of him. He thought that when he messes up his living situation he was going to come back. Plus, I told him before he moved out that I was going to block him. He told me that I better not. I told him that I could show him better than I can tell him. 😏

For them, the point of the discard is to attempt to gain control by getting you to chase them. However, if you don't show any interest in them leaving such as crying, asking them to stay or reacting in any way that shows you're affected by them leaving, they will usually abort that mission pretty quickly because they cannot go long at all without a supply. These are not strong individuals, they are VERY emotionally fragile people and they have no real control over their emotions due to very low self-esteem. Thats why they attempt to control others instead. Its easier for them to do that (or so they think) than to face themselves. So expect to hear from them soon. This is why its best you use that opportunity to block them from all means of communicating with you. Don't wait because if you're unbothered or happy about them leaving, they will attempt to come back quickly.

I have been doing a lot of self healing and I most definitely found my joy back! However, it’s a little harder when children are involved and custody battle is present. Co-Parenting Is not even in the Narcissist reality! Our children are the ones that will suffer, I believe, the most from her toxic behavior. I denied access thanks be to God! When he ghosted me for two weeks, he overplayed his hand and he forfeited his right to be in my life ever again. I didn't know what was going on because it didn't make sense, but when I did my research and became knowledgeable of their schemes, I said oh, hell no! We must pick our pain. I resisted several hoovers...he tried the act like nothing happened, he tried the nostalgia hoover, and he tried the crisis hoover... claiming a family member died. I responded to no hoovers. But, I was my denial of the FIRST hoover that helped me reclaim my power. He was a whole fool to think he had me hooked like that...I took my power back and I thank God and a few good friends who believed my experience. #NPDisreal #ButGodisrealer

That’s even more traumatic when they return and act like nothing happened or act like it’s all your fault. 22 years married to him he had all the time in the world to be friends and a faithful spouse. So, No Sir- nothing. I’m not doing blended families, i’m not texting or calling him or nothing him. I’m not sharing any special occasions for the children. I’ll have my events and he can have and plan his own events for our children. I did it all for 22 years even taking the blame for everything cause he said it was my fault. I was a people pleaser but I’m healed now and healing. Gaslighting still triggers me though.
