We've all been there. Just watching the pickle ball go by you over and over again as your opponents hit everything to your partner. Well we're not alone. In this video we see how Ben Johns overcame this challenge and glean a handful of lessons that anybody at any level can apply to their own game when they're being iced out or targeted by their opponents.

DANG that's some grade A analysis. AGAIN! Thanks for the surgical dissection of these pro rallies - it's really helping us understand how to turn the tables on the targeters. When you're the strong player - keep going cross court (dinks and drops) to stay involved. When you're the targeted player - dink middle more ... your teammate can then come to the center line and get more involved.

thank you for IQ content. far more interested in this type of content vs. form content because EVERYBODY is doing those ones. Your gameplay break downs are great! Can’t wait to see you start playing the bigger pro tournaments. I hope the game eventually gets to a place where you only need to do this for a livingz

Awesome film study and analysis! The ability to discern the additional reason for Ben’s drives from the right displays a great talent for analysis. Looking forward to more of this from you.

Great breakdown video, I’ll have to work on a few of these strategies when I play with different levels. The middle dink is really underrated

Hey Tony! This is Richie. I was the dude that came up to you when you guys were playing in Sylmar. You’re making good stuff on here. This video was really helpful. We are also a smaller channel so we know how hard the grind is. Keep up the good work and content! Hopefully will bump into you again around here. 👍

Phenomenal video. Yet another one that demystifies why points play out how they do and what you can do to influence the flow. So many videos and coaches can tell you how to hit this shot and that shot, but very few can effectively explain why and when.

awesome video again. I keep watching other videos about dinking patterns but no one really talked about why patterns like this happen - really eye opening. The mental stuff is great (a huge reason I stopped playing tournaments were those performance issues) It would be great to do one just on that topic with more suggestions on how to play like you practice and turn your mind off.

Great video, I have been struggling with a strategy to help out in our mixed play. Will watch it a couple times and see what I can do. Thanks!

OMG, tried the Ice Strategy when I had the Weakest player on the Court at yesterdays Drop In Session and it worked every time! I didn't even finish the video (missed #5 and #6). Now I know the rest of the Strategy and will put it into practice at todays Drop In :)

Great timing for this breakdown with the slice taking the season 2 MLP championship yesterday. Slice really settled into their roles

Great breakdown and easy-to-follow fixes to work on. The mental piece is real (#6) and also can be frustrating for the player being iced out. Thanks...good job.

great topic. I find i lose many games due to having a less skilled partner. I will replay this and make some notes. I will need to improve my shots to be able to be successful with your tips.

Often in women's doubles and even some mixed doubles, I didn't know what to do when my partner (s) got targeted, and I didn't know what to do to help. When I poached too much, I might lose the next shots. Now I know at least I could drop/dink across.

How is a cross court dink more comfortable for most players? Personally, I feel my straight ahead dinking is much stronger and more aggressive than most of my cross court dinks.

4:32 doesn't really make sense. "Over time, this improved". The score where eric messed up was 2-2 but the score where he improved "over time" was at 2-0.
