I was more curious if I had to do the engine but I’ve been told it’s sealed with antifreeze already in it so you do not have to touch that and you only have to winterize the outdrive which I did with a small pump and a hose. Thank you everyone for your comments

Great video, and thanks ! One suggestion, never ever fill up the fuel tank to full ! Gasoline expend ! Fuel stabilizer takes care of fuel, no need to fill the tank all the way up. If the sun heats up your fuel tank for any reason, you will experience overflow, even if your gas cap is tied good, the gas will stain your seadoo badly !

@@brentgeeter7325 pretty much. I’ll run it on my driveway on the hose for a minute to rinse out the antifreeze from the exhaust system. And, some guys like to put new spark plugs in after the cylinders sit all winter with fogging oil in them, but yeah. Basically, assuming you did everything by the book (including stabilizing the fuel), put gas in and go.

He said simple then used a cut away and took the hull apart seems like a non user friendly design for access to the engine
@Seadoo4 жыл бұрын
Complete hood removal is not required to change oil or plugs - only done for better visual. If you do ever need additional access to engine, it's just series of nuts and bolts to gain access.

I wish I had watched this video before buying a jet ski. I would never have bought a jet ski if I knew you had to spend hundreds of dollars and 20 hours taking the thing apart and yelling in frustration just to winterize it every year.

Not everyone is as lucky! That poor Sea-Doo migrated to a northern location. Same process should be followed for long-term storage regardless of climate.

Quick question? If you only used 2-3 times during the season, do you have to do the step where you spray anti corrosive in the plug holes where the spark plugs go? Also, I’m thinking it wouldn’t need an oil change either? Thanks!!

Umm when do you flush with antifreeze??? Isn't that the main part of winterizing?
@QuietWind012 жыл бұрын
This one is probably sealed with a closed coolant system, like a car or truck, unlike others or even outboard motors that are water cooled. You can either blow out the water from the drive system or blow it out and run coolant through it

Why would you turn the ski on after applying fogging oil.... that’s just going burn it out... you can crank the motor without the coil packs if u want to make sure it completely lines the cylinder walls but turning the ski on is an epic fail...
@thisisrob87504 жыл бұрын
. he held the throttle wide open it while cranking it and that distributes the fogging oil on cylinder walls. It wont start up and burn fog oil if you hold throttle wide open. why it somehow fired up is strange he must not have held the throttle fully wide open i guess . i never have a problem.
