You don’t need to have a data cable hooked up. Just hold the power button and volume up button to bring up that menu.

Thank you. This worked immediately for me. His video didn't work at all unfortunately (on Android 13), it just took me to a menu that asked if I wanted to continue to install a custom OS.

What version of Android is the phone in the video running? This wont work for me, and I'm running Android version 13, One UI version 5.1. When I try to hold down the power button and volume up button at the same time, and let go of the power button as soon as the Samsung Galaxy text appears, it takes me to a menu that assumes I am trying to install a custom OS.

You do not need a cable. Go into your settings and search for "side key". Set it so that press and hold is power off instead of wake up bixby. Now you can get to the recovery menu like normal.

It's not working. You need a cable connected to a laptop/pc or an external USB stick connected to the phone

Yes, just connect your charging cable to your phone, press the volume up and power button and release the power button when the logo appear (keep on pressing the volume up button tho)

I found another video that solved it. Turn off the phone. Plug it into a computer. Turn the power back on. No need to hold the power anymore. Hold Volume UP first, and then quickly hold Bixby. Release both when the screen says "SAMSUNG". Debug menu appears very soon. Caveat: I have developer mode on in the phone, not sure if that's needed or not (there are other tutorials for doing this, it's very simple).

Damn, both my s21 and tab s7 have andriod 12 and I don't have a computer and I want to whipe my cache. My tab always has aleast 4gb of my 8gb of ram used up with nothing open and the phone is a bit worse, it has 8gb ram also

It does, I just did it on my Galaxy Note 10+. You just need to follow all the steps in the video, including the connection of the data cable, otherwise it won't work.
