@@GraphicManInnovations Basically you can use 560Kilo Ohm to 1 mega ohm for 220VAC light bulb.220K for 120VAC .So Resistor is necessary to protect the light bulb.

May be the switch have problem , it should work but i just remind that this switch is for ac 220/240v. if you use in 12v Battery you just need to wire only positive wire.
