I just matched all the colors to to colors and everything works except backup. I'm not sure if the trailer had back up lights. The black cable is think and I thought that was the power so I put it where you have the red. The yellow one I put in the middle where you have to the black. My running lights work when I turn them on but the only turn signals that work on the ones on the stop lights. I cant remember if the ones on the fender blinked. I can remember if back up light came on either. It is a 14ft cargo homesteader. Maybe I wired it wrong?

Yes you did, The backup wire is the Middle. I installed a Led light in the back of my trailer for my reverse light

what color should i tap into if i were to put some strobe LED lights on the trailer. i need constant power even if the truck is off

It's going to vary depending on the truck. Some have constant power others will only send power after the key is turned. Some of the newer trucks are only putting power back when the brake is applied. Just going to be trial and error. Find the accessory wire and see when it's hot. Can always run a dedicated wire from the battery, just make sure you put an inline fuse in if you do.
