@trevilights Last year I was asking you questions and I got on board too late. I'd like to get on board this year now for maybe a tree and couple of these. Would you suggest 5v or 12v? Also One falcon controller will have 16 outputs? you used 2 outputs for the tree and 1 for 2 singing faces. Howmany external power supplies are needed? Also which connector outputs for the f16v4? Thank You. Well after I made this post, I ordered the 12v f16v4. I guess the rest of the questions matter now.
@trevilights2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for not getting back to you with an answer. Sometimes some of the comments are blocked by KZbin. My show is all 12v. This voltage travels a little further that 5v. So you might need less power injection points. When It comes to how many power supplies It all depends on how many light you end up with. My show has around 7,000 thousand pixels and I only use one extra 12v 29Amp power supply apart from the one which is powerning the Controller and the V1 and V2 ports. This extra power supply is outside close to my props. You can get a better Idea of my power injection in the video below. Watch from minute twelve and a half. You can also see how much power my props are using so I can see if my power supplies are enough. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3vagZ2lrp6ojdU

Do you use power injection on the singing tree because it is more than 100 pixels?
@trevilights3 жыл бұрын
From what I have learned I am good injecting power every 300 pixels regardless of the element. The singing tree used 229 pixel so I am good if I only had 1 singing tree in 1 port. But since I have two in a row I am also injecting power at the end of the second element. So I have power at the beginning of the first tree coming from the controller and at the end of the second tree. Hope this helps. BTW, the power is coming from a second power supply sitting outside feeding my mega tree and singing tree.

@@merylsoto2552 Great. I am going to assume that in xlights in the controller tab you have added your your controller IP address and universes definition. After you save this setup your should see a green light next to the 'Delete' button in this tab. This means that xlight found your controller. Controller must be powered. Open your sequence and turn on the connection to the controller by clicking the white lightbulb on the top right of the xlight icons. Its caption is 'Ouput to lights', it should turn yellow with a black arrow inside. If everything is fine you should see your coro light up. If not check your channel definition on your signing tree setup. Make sure those channels are defined for the port your are connected to.

Will do. Every string of lights comes with two extra wires on each side in case you need to supply extra power. All you will need to do is connect them to a power supply. I left those loose because I do not need them since we are only using 229 lights. You will need to inject more power if you had maybe 500 lights.
