I'm about to do a Jake E Lee tribute project, and its the first time I will be doing the Wiring on a guitar from scratch. I've got a Kaish import style 3 way switch, and I want to have just a single pickup in each switch position, on a single volume knob. I cannot find much help on setting this up. It would be AWESOME if you could do a simple tutorial like you have here on a set up like that, an HSS on a single volume, and on a 3 way switch, on a hardtail bridge guitar. Thank you so much, really great tutorial, its made a few things more clear for me. Cheers

Good video, however I had to add wires that you helped determine were missing. The common wire was hanging and the wire to the pot was gone. Also, no grounds were noted so I grounded them all. Woe, amazing any of them pickups worked.

I'm trying to do this exact setup with Wolfgang humbuckers in the bridge /neck and the original ibanez SC. No sound wiring as you did. I'm wondering if you can clue me in to what the wire colors are on your install beyond the red hot wire. I'm sure my issue is not wiring my green, white, black, and bare wires properly. For me red is slug hot, green is slug ground, white is screw hot, and black is screw ground. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Hi there - I have a guitar with an H-S-H setup and recently had Dimarzio titans installed in bridge and neck and a Dimarzio chopper in the middle - the 4th position is really scratchy and weak sounding and I'm wondering if it is because the chopper is twin blade? I'm wondering if there is a better way to wire than my tech did. It is an Ibanez S series, which I understand apparently have a unique wiring makeup. Thanks for any help you can give!
