Hi Stephan thanks fella, i try to make things Simple so people can follow Along. Its not Rocket science but some people cant do it, and have to rely on others. I can remember when i first started out on rig, my local rig doctor had to do it for me. Me being me watched what he was doing, asked a few questions. From that day on i did my own.

Nice one Steve. Funny enough, I just ordered a bleep box from the States, and had to re-wire it from Uniden to Cybernet, inside on the mic socket, and the plug on the end of the lead that goes in the radio. I'm happy to report, that it is all working fine :-) Made simpler by remembering back to the old days, and knowing how easy it is to change Uniden to Cybernet, or vice versa, just by changing the wires top to bottom, and bottom to top, either side of the little cut out groove, and hey presto! Keep up the good work my friend. And stay safe x

Hi Steve, yeah N type co ax plugs, can be a bit fiddly to do but are excellent especially at the antenna end to keep the water out. Happy to share mate, excellent video.

Nice one Steve. One point you forgot to mention. The AUDIO wire will usually have the braid/common/earth wrapped round it, so it is identified right away. Now you know two of the wires right away. Ground/common and audio wires. The way to find the Receive wire is how you did it Common to a wire on test meter to one of the wires gives you the Receive wire. The only other wire that is left will be the Transmit wire. So you have found them all This method will work for all microphones. Caution: If there is a battery in your mic, (Power Mic) take it out before testing. Remember to put the battery back after you connect the plug up. You can test the mic without the battery being in to see it it Receives and Transmits, but you need the battery to get audio. Looking at the inside of the plug is how it is drawn for the connection to the CB or other radio. This confuses some people. You can find connections for most CBs on the Internet. Just google it. Nice one Steve.

Hi Bob there will a follow up video, i never forgot the Audio wrapped in the screen wire. Some times all the info at the same time can be a little over whelming. I did miss an opportunity during creating the vid, that i will try to re create in the follow up. Watch this space fella, i have some software to run for the next video. :o) Your input is always welcome (and good) :o)

@@CBRadiouk1 No worries, I just that up so someone could look at it while doing a mic. If you do another, put it in the text below the video. Helps others. Anyway, it is surprising, there is not a lot of videos out on how to wire a CB mic.

Hello I bought the k-po nm-532 microphone (for use on these two CRT SS6900N / President McKinley)connecting this microphone the people listening to me do not hear me very very low the microphone cannot amplify.Could you give me some advice. Thank you ( the shop assistant assured me that the connections of the 6 PIN connectors are all the same)I'm sorry I don't know English I used the translator Thank you in advance 73
@CBRadiouk13 жыл бұрын
The 6900n is a 4 pin socket not 6. Change the battery , and if you are using it on the mkinley, use ssb, to look for audio/ power output.

i im trying to wire uo a kpo nm532 to a president lincon, couid you please tell me what colour of wire goes to what pin number, many thanks.
@CBRadiouk13 жыл бұрын
hi Denis if u watched the video, you will now know what wire does what. Now all u have to do is look up the lincoln mike configuration. even better check your stock mike functions, and write them down. then match the kpo wire functions to your lincoln mike configuration. unfortunatly i cant do it for you bud.

Low and behold there staring at me was one piece around 5 inches long. Its about 1mm thick transformer winding type wire. (RESULT) I will get that together soon, thanks for the tip. I probably Ave another croc clip kicking around.
