I've seen most open fireplaces are pretty inefficient. The masonry gets warm and slowly radiates heat but 90% of the heat is going up the chimney in my experience. Does that blower make a difference? Some fireplaces like yours have a blower but most I've seen usually don't

The blower helps a little, but it is kinda loud. I get the most heat from leaving the glass doors open. I agree with you about 90% of the heat going up the chimney. Either way I just love having a fire sometimes. Thanks for the comment Kevin.
