Hi there, there are two parts to your question: (1) Yes, you can arrange to take the exam in any examination centre that SRA offers near to you. Please check here for more details: sqe.sra.org.uk/exam-arrangements/dates-and-locations (2) You would need to consult an immigration lawyer for where studying/taking SQE exam in the UK would breach any rules while you are on a student visa in the UK. You can qualify as a solicitor but how will you practice in the UK as you would need a sponsor ( employer ). First you WILL need to come as a visitor to the UK not AS under student visa since this is a professional qualification unless you do master with SQE. Let's say you pass SQE, difficulties would be to get working for a firm of solicitors. You can't switch your visa from visit to another category. There are so many other things to consider.
