Same, I gave up on the protorelics in Junon and Cosmo Canyon. I do the towers but stopped the combat assignments, Chocobo racing, along with the annoying Moogle Wrangling. It’s infuriating that the developers locked skillbooks behind a ridiculous mini game. I just reached Nibelheim and just going to focus on the story It’s a great game that’s weighed down by pointless filler.

Honestly the worst part isn’t luring the chocobo for me, since all it takes is patience and learning the timing of the cacti. But man, trying to wrangle it once it’s OUT of the maze without altering the nearby chocobo that just stand there was hella annoying. Thank every lordy for checkpoints, since I had to repeat the last part THREE times solely do to that.

All i see are people complaining about the mini games and what not. Enjoy the challenge and new things to do. What im tired of is doing the same shit over and over. And i was terrified of spending $70 on a game that i would beat in a few days. Complaints are well deserved here. There's nothing wrong with mini games but most of them are way too tedious/difficult. On top of that some have harder difficulties. Like seriously, why? The game look beautiful and the combat system is fantastic. The games and map traversal missed the mark in a big way.

But the sheer amount/frequency/difficulty/repetition of the mini games have ruined this game for me. The original is one of my fave games of all time; I’ve played remake four times; I already know I’m never picking rebirth up again.

This game actually got me back into gaming. Played the original as a kid, bought a ps5 just to play as an adult. Some of the mini games are annoying I guess but it’s a true test to diversify you skill. I’m 100 hours into it at this point of the map and I’m honestly having a blast. What a cancerous, moronic decision for gamers to be REQUIRED to do these garbage ass mini games in order to actually be able to fast travel anywhere or explore any important parts of any of the maps. Out of the 40 or so mini games in this god forsaken game, only 3 or 4 are even remotely enjoyable. They are all just a fucking chore, nobody likes them. What a big fat L for Square Enix. Yeah I hate the mini games to. Not only do they feel like a chore, they just ruin the pacing of the entire game. Am I the only one who just couldn't get into Queen's Blood? Card trading games are just not my thing. I didn't like Gwent in The Witcher either. There is that part where you can compete in the Queen's Blood tournament on the ship. I just skipped that whole part. If they made playing Queen's blood mandatory to progress in the game, I don't know if I would have kept playing lol.
