I think it's easier to start in the middle of the section and work outward. That way the excess vinyl is even on both sides and is easier to work.

Would this work on a tapered 20oz? I never seem to measure correctly and make a template for my Cricut to cut a wrap.

Yes! This method would totally work! I have a tutorial on my channel for a half wrap on a tapered cup. I do it a bit differently than in this video, but both techniques will work! 😊

When I started making tumblers and would watch tutorials where they would tell you to reuse your transfer tape, I would get frustrated putting decals on. Then after a while I started seeing where they would cut slits to make it lay right. I had a hard time coming to grips with that because I couldn’t save the transfer tape that way. I tried it and had so much less stress. Now I’m like whatever just hack it apart.

Yes!! I try to save and reuse transfer tape when I can but I’m definitely not afraid to cut, crease, or whatever else I need to do to it to get that decal on right! 🤣
