HOW TO: Wrap IT UP!!!!

In this tutorial I will walk you through how to do a full kayak wrap. What to use and what to be aware of attempting to do this type of project. I am not an affiliate of Elite Choice Graphics but I will highly recommend the quality of this product. I was very surprised of how thick the material actual was and just how much easier it made the installation of this wrap. I thought it was a little funny - who’d want to wrap up an already great looking kayak like a Hobie? But the final results are GREAT. That kayak is seriously tricked out! I especially love how you rearranged the marine mat kit, I always thought it looked a little empty at the seat. Well done all around!

Yup, good point lol! I agree it turned out pretty dang nice! I’ve beat this thin up a little bit it needed a facelift haha.

@@WormTV I love it! I think you made some great creative decisions on which sections to cut off, adding the pin striping and the final Hobie decal. If I could recommend, SC Wake Boat Juice would clean out the marine mats to pristine condition. Might be something to consider down the line👍🏼

I want my touring Kayak to look like an Orca. It'll keep the Seals off and the Sharks are afraid of them. They'll leave their feeding grounds for a year when Orcas pass through. Camouflage! I'm the top predator ! 🙂!

Thanks much for the instructional video. Gotta look at Solidworks I think it can do a Picture wrap now. I just need black and white and that overlap black on white. I can wrap over wrap right ? That great cause the wrap can just be replaced if it too scratched up after a few years.

Yeah, you can definitely do that, and really if you have two people it’s a lot easier when you lay it down on the kayak. After that you can finish it all up on your own pretty easy.

Awesome work man. Looks painstaking. I'm considering the Mahi wrap on a new PA 14 360 to make it more visible offshore here in South FL. Blue camo looks cool, but ironically blends in seamlessly with the ocean. Not good! Looks like I'll have to set aside a full weekend, but maybe the new kayak will require less prep time.

Yeah I’ve had mine for 3 years lots of little scratches. If I did this a second time it would be much faster. I didn’t wanna edit the video short and make it look easy. I was really hoping for this vid to make it easier on others to do it. Thank you btw!!! That Mahi would look really good on a PA and a second set of hands will help to lay that material down on each side much faster.

Still have it and it’s extremely durable. Much thicker then most wraps I’ve seen on other tournament anglers yaks. It can definitely take a beating up on sand, brush and from loading and unloading.
