Just love how you translate a well know concept of planning into a simple and common sense approach. I sent to my kids to listen too! I’m 55... my boys have decided to work with me over the last year and a bit. I tell them everyday, this was my dream and doesn’t have to be yours. I also tell them that their relationship is much more important to me than this business. If they choose this for their life, their relationship cannot be compromised ever! As a father, that would make me sad to know so I told them they have 5 years to prove to me they can get it right or I’ll sell it and then they can each do their own thing. They each have unique strengths that if managed well, they can be successful in second generation. I enjoy your approach and interviews and would love to see some interviews on successful second generation businesses that could guide us as well. Keep up the awesome work Patrick!!

It is so crazy how God sends you directly to something. Here I am in bed reflecting on my life and decisions I’ve made thus far. My mother passed away November 1, 2021 and listen, the pain I feel is unbearable but I used that pain to fuel every business idea I had and have, challenged myself to do 30 days of consistent business planning (on day 8) and all of this fire I felt and feel is due to the fact that I couldn’t bury my mother myself financially. I thought to myself I can’t leave my daughter’s like this and as a single parent (bad decisions) I will bust my butt until the day I am no longer! This video mentioned Nov 18th and today is Nov 18th…I KNOW i am suppose to be here right now at this moment. I say this to say wherever you are your higher being, God, The universe, Allah…will always guide you to exactly where you need to be and stay a front liner for YOU!! You are on the right path. Blessing to you if you are trying…don’t fold you got this!!

Yeah me too, they've sure kept this guy hidden.....where has he been all this time, I just found him a few weeks ago and can't keep from watching him.....I just wish he didn't talk so fast.....but he does a great interview....,he lets the person talk that he's interviewing instead of butting in like Hannity always does on his show.....he irks me at times....Hannity I want to hear what the other person has to say so shut up and listen.....he does this a lot when he interviews MARK LEVINE I really like and I'm sitting here yelling over the video for Hannity to shut up and let Mark talk.....Levine is a very smart man.....a lot of people can't learn anything because they don't know how to listen.....just sit back & listen and you will be surprise at how much more you can learn.....Talk,talk,talk drives me crazy.....with these interviews.....

When you write a business plan, you write it down as if you are going to war inorder to win that WAR! How to use military tactics and strategies in business requires discipline, a well organized structure, rules and regulations with flexibility and feedback built into them. BE UNPREDICTABLE TO YOUR PRESENT AND WOULD BE FUTURE COMPETITORS. Be ready to bypass obstacles and go toward the target while containing all obstacles and allowing them to surrender to you.

My favorite part of this video is the cutting the fat advice. I started off as a casual youtuber and fell into some bad habits to grow my following. The fat I desperately want to cut is of fellow "creators" who only want to grow, but don't want to actually create and serve the community with something of value. From now on, I only want to follow channels and influencers who are DOING something of worth, not just following to be nice

Behind every good man there is a good Woman.....??? or something like this, I have heard it all my life but now no one seems to know what it is !!!! How many millions have you made, Haris King? You’ve named yourself “Million Dollar Dream” because you have dreams and hopes. I’m not convinced you’re providing sound advice, even though I’m sure you’ve got ideas and enthusiasm. You need to know what you are taking action on; thus the reason for a plan. You’re in the right place here with PBD to learn from someone who knows what he’s doing... he’s got the millions most of us are dreaming of. Rather than telling people not to listen, I’d recommend heeding his advice. This is an opportunity for you!

@Shane Jones Who am I opposed to and how did politics just happen? That’s strange. I see a lot of enthusiasm in this man’s name and post... I was encouraging this man to take the energy expended into hopes and dreams to make a doable plan that will help him make those dreams happen. PBD is all about action, and so am I. Clearly, so is Haris King! I’m not sure what your comment is about, but that’s ok. Maybe I just needed to clarify for Haris that he looks like he’s going to go somewhere great, and he’ll be really glad to follow PBD’s guidance. It’s such a blessing to have such wonderful resources available to us, unlike when I was young and had to figure everything out on my own. Have a blessed day Shane! 🙂

At 70 when I complete this video, or maybe watch it a couple of times as very busy today, but at 70, I'm going to write a plan for the next year. Off to lumber yard to get stock for the rest of the week - Rec-room for my granddaughter, about 75% done. Will pass this on to younger contractors I work with around here. Great stuff, regretting I never learned all this but will make the best of time left. Thanks Pat. PS - committed to Christ at 23, 1973. The 20, as I understood them: 1. 4:50 Quiet time. Plan solitary thinking for an entire day with as much data and materials as you need. 2. 6:30 Data. Keep your data around you and measure it. 3. 7:00 Estimate within scope. Don't over estimate your year and do not under estimate your ten year. 4. 9:38 Important measures. Measure what matters. OKRs. 5. 11:15 Research. Seek out your own information on important matters. 6. 12:30 Up skills. Immerse yourself in 3-5 new skill sets to learn. 7. 14:00 Liquid cash. Emphasize increasing cash reserves to be able to pivot. 8. 15:16 Prepper. Create a standard operating procedure with biz and fam in case of another shut-down. 9. 16:46 Incentive reprograming. If you make a threat or pinky promise, keep your word. 10. 19:55 Unnecessary toxic. Cut out counterproductive relationships from your life. 11. 21:10 Small thinking. Give proper weight to your counsel's advise. 12. 22:25 Aim focus. Zone into what you are doing not on to what the competition is doing. 13. 23:18 Competition inspiration. Inspire your plan by competitors who are not a threat at your level. 14. 24:29 Calendar. Unify all your calendars into one calendar to plan all your events. 15. 25:30 Inner circle. Identify who are going to be the next people you recruit into your life. 16. 26:50 Name your year. Identify the theme of your year and give it a title. 17. 28:10 Next five moves. Come up with next steps for each area of your plan. 18. 29:11 Ball and chain. Consider if your non-spouse partner should stay or go. 19. 30:44 Team plan. Get a pulse on your team by scheduling planning time with each team member. 20. 32:20 Publish the plan. Share your plan to reinforce accountability to yourself.

Have data: Having numbers is important to compare and judge. Example: Tracking money and value (Checking account, Savings account, Investment, Stocks, Mutual funds, Artefacts, Collectibles, Cards etc) 3. Don't overestimate what you can do in one year: Be realistic, be patient. 4. Know what numbers to measure.: Understand what is the most important data to measure. 5. Know who you are going to recruit next. 16: Give the year a theme: When you have a theme, you will be emotionally connected to it. 17: Have *your next five moves* in order. (!!!!!) 18. Don't go into the new year with the wrong partner: Can you live with the worst of the person you are in a relationship with? Do your visions match? 19. Do your business plans with your team: Consider your direct reportees in your plan 20. Don't keep your business plan a secret: Don't keep it secret so that you are accountable and take it seriously.

Always coming through with realistic expectations. I definitely need to find people that hold me accountable. I know that the circle I have around me have small minds (nothing wrong with that) because they never give me great feedback, they only say, "good for you" or "that's good", and I immediately change the conversation because everything gets quiet and awkward 😅

@@TheKentuckylady717 Thanks for connecting again. It’s nice to meet you and I hope you’re doing fine. I'm a..... and a full time forex trader. I want to pitch you my program. Forex trading is a fast growing market where investors/entrepreneurs trade in Currency Pairs, Cryptocurrencies or Commodities; Done round the clock for 5 days. That is, for 24hours from Mon-Friday. Yeah, here ur money completely works for u. You create a trading account which would be linked to your email address for safety, then you fund ur trading account with funds and trades would be personally handled by me as your account manager and ure sure of formidable profit of over 75% on ur start up capital. I do not work for any company, i am just an expert on forex trading, how much to invest with depends on your financial capability. Few of my clients invest by 10,000$, 8000$; Few also invest 5000$ too, so it all depends on how much you can afford. In some cases, it is far more than that. Like 100.000$+ I don’t can guide and coach you to become successful while trading forex; all you have to do is to invest with the right broker and i will teach you how to place trades. If you are interested kindly write to pedrofranado@gmail.com. To get more details about the trades you can start with $500 to profit 3500

Thank you Patrick, it has been obvious to me but I was ignoring the fact that both my spiritual and marriage relationship are severely strained. This is also severely effecting my relationship with my children, so my self confidence and ability to do well in my business planning and stick-toitivness, has been a huge struggle. I need to step back work on those most important relationships first before I can continue in business.

Spot on. Most people confuse plans with wishes. Another way I like to rephrase is to have a vision for your business. vision/plan is more attainable because it is backed up with actionable steps. As you pointed out, vision is more holistic. Thanks.
