Hello, Ive recently started writing my own novel. Originally my goal as an artist was to have my own anime. Over the years, I have watched many authors create their anime, but at some point the story just craps on itself. One take back, and the author completely goes against their own logic within the universe they've created. So, I changed my goal. From wanting to create my own manga/comic to writing a novel. Once I finish my story in the novel, I'll then move to working on the graphic novel. I agree on the take on not losing your plot.

That’s a great idea! Also. You can write a comic type novel and add a splash illustrated page in each chapter.

I have an original character that I want to develop in a story. Can I use a name of an old character that Marvel used (Kraal)? I have a friend named "Kraal" that I want to put in a comic.

You probably can. Check the USPTO to see if Marvel trademarked it. Even if it is, it doesn't mean you can't use it. Let me know what you find
