Ma some people said that the body of a formal letter should have three paragraphs and some says two paragraphs, so ma I will be glad if you reply this massage so that I can show them b/c some of them don't even have a browsing phone. thank you

Hi Promise, A good formal l letter cannot have just two paragraphs. A formal letter should have (a) an introductory paragraph (b) the main body (c) the concluding paragraph (d) the closing paragraph. These are the 4 primary paragraphs but then your letter can have more than 4 paragraphs depending on the number of points you want to discuss in the body of the letter. Each point should be discussed in a separate paragraph. I will advise you discuss at least 3 points in the main body of the letter if you are sitting for WASSCE which will give you a total of 6 paragraphs.

I will advise you to write the heading of your letter all in capital letters and DO NOT underline when you have written it in capital letters. But if you choose to write in small letters then you will have to make sure that the words in the title that belong to Major parts of speech-noun, verb, adjective, adverb, pronoun are all started with capital letters and words that belong to the minor parts of speech like conjunction, preposition etc are started with small letters. Then you must make sure you underline the heading. My advice is for you to write everything in capital letters and not underline.
