Rhaenyra being a mother is what makes her character so special. The way she loves her children really makes you empathize with her plight. Plus all she wants to fulffill the promise to her father who defended her to the very end.

I call that the Lioness Female character. Sarah Conner, Ellen Ripley and the Bride are good examples of the Lioness. Females who'll go through hell fire to protect their children. I consider these females stronger than any strong male because of the fact they are smaller, not fighters but their mental fortitude is their best and greatest strength, as it pushes them to extreme bravery and shear will to overcome a great adversaries, more than the male hero that punched his way to defeat his enemy. Females might not be stronger than males physically, however, diplomacy and mental fortitude is were females have their strengths.

Alicent Hightower doing peak Macbeth with a dagger, in front a fire, with all the passion in the world, going "where is duty where is sacrifice" might be great and all, but it certainly doesn't match the GREATNESS that is Galadriel's "I have a tempest in me 💨".

Good video! Your points on Rhaenyra were spot on, and the contrast with Galadriel was very well done. I did a video comparing Viserys's deathbed scene to Tar-Palantir's deathbed scene, and why the scene in House of the Dragon works better than the one in Rings of Power. It's nice to see another HotD fan :)

Why is it that most holywood movies think "Strong female character" is equals to a male villain narcissist in a woman's body who happens to be flawless at melee combat? 😖

@@UnderARockTV Ikr' I wanna see strong female characters that are feminine in fantasy setting. 😌 Where is our female healer protagonist who's a pacifist and overcomes challenges & develops as a more balanced character using wits & charm, not swords & brute strength? 🥹 Tbh Sansa from GOT is the closest I can think of someone who's strong in a feminine way. (esp. books sansa) 😌

I would suggest Evelyn from mummy movies as a strong female character! ✌️ Rhaenyra & Alicent are strong female characters in their own circumstances playing a game to survive the system! They are only humans but i dislike them both. I think Rhaenys is much more stronger than them both! ✌️

@@UnderARockTV the reason why i don't like Rhaenyra are the reasons Alicent mentioned when she threatened her with the dagger and haven't took any responsibility for her actions. Alicent, well, she was nice at first but began playing dirty games to survive her station when she grew up (terrific performances by the way)! They both gained sympathy and as a woman, i can see why they are doing what they are doing considering Westeros, which is not very kind to women &I am not sure, they have showed any sign of bravery yet. Anyways, i am excited to see how they will evolve in the next season, let's see whether they would change my mind. I am leaning towards the blacks btw! 🔥 Another example of strong female character in a lightly similar circumstance: Eowyn from LOTR!
