Vlog 332 - How to write a successful PhD Research Proposal? | My experience as a final year PhD Student
This video will give an idea to every new PhD how to write a research proposal to get admission or finding and succeed in it. This is based on my experience of writing a research statement in my earlier days. Currently, I am a final-year PhD researcher and student.

A sample of the PhD Research proposal with some details as in the video is below.
- The background of your research, what are the research gaps that you find, why are you doing this research? You kind of set the context of your entire research. Before writing this, it needs a lot of preparation, reading a bunch of literature and also writing notes to prepare with the story after critical summarizing and reviewing.
- Then discuss the research questions, research challenges inside the problem definition.
- Rough outline of the design and methods. Will be always a good idea to complement the text with the step-wise task, sub-task illustration with an approx. timeline in line with the agreed duration of the PhD.
- 8.3, 8.4 are more like the USP of this proposal to convince the committee why this should be funded or why you should be allowed to start or continue your PhD research. You have already established that but here you again reiterate it!
- 8.5, 8.6 establishes the output, publication plan in which outlets and the broader practical significance of the work.
- Part 9 has the dissemination details with timeline, summer schools, doctoral consortiums, conferences to attend.
- Part 10 has the ethical stuff because you will collect personal data.
