Thank you Neil for this tutorial. This is helping me as a composer learn and grow. Much appreciated. Love how you explain in depth of what you are doing. Hope to see other 2 Hour cues in the future.

I'm not really into this style of composing but I stuck around cause the tone of the presenter is such a nice break from other sample library presenters who breathlessly fall over themselves describing the cues and products behind them. Well done, Neil.

First score to feature Christopher Nolan’s voice on the soundtrack. Ludwig Goransson is awesome! This is great too!

What do you mean, and if it is where and what track he used Christopher Nolans voice ?
@dafingaz3 жыл бұрын
@@dox1755 heard it on another interview with Ludwig. Couldn’t tell you where or which track. I listen to far too many interviews. 😂🥲
@dafingaz3 жыл бұрын
@@dox1755 if I remember correctly it’s not Christopher singing. Maybe some breath noises or something like that.

@@dox1755 LOL. Nope. Ludwig said it was the first movie soundtrack that featured Christopher Nolan’s voice (not singing or rapping. More sound fix).

Super interesting, loved the notes on the timing. I feel like there was a missed opportunity to put some reversed strings in here, as that’s a leitmotif for the time inversion concept itself in Tenet, and talk about how to adjust orchestration and timing around reverse/backmasked elements in a composition. Still, great work.

Great stuff there. I think it would be a lot more useful to see Neil actually write it though, rather than just showing the breakdown. It doesn't have to be live, or even need too much commentary, but to see how he comes up with parts, chooses sounds, layers them etc I think would be great to see.

Great tutorial ! I would like to see the 2h version. What I find difficult and time consuming is to choose your sounds (between million..) in order to create a template... Question: I see that you use a track ball ... Is it better or more comfortable than a mouse ? I am between the Kensington trackball and the Logitech master mx 3 mouse. Thanks again !
