I think there's a typo on .jpg in the photo/archive section. Also I think one important thing to have in any photography contract is a line or two indicating that by booking the client for a certain date you are turning down other potential clients on that date, as well as the fact that you have to do some some work in preparation for the event. Just simply stating that something is non-refundable doesn't mean a judge will side with you in court, you want it to be clear that you are turning down other work or have already started doing some work after the deposit was paid. Another thing is sometimes judges can be weird about the term "retainer" and only see it as a term that specifically refers to lawyers and their services.

Oh I've had harassment by church staff, security, clergy, etc, other church members that are not involved, parking attendants on-site, more so at Catholic Churches, they can be really strict, and what I and the client agreed on, the owners of the venue (church) , clergy, security staff etc, were left in the dark and not informed. That really pissed me off. I used to video Live Stream weddings and funerals. I don't do it anymore, way too many issues and misunderstandings. Some experiences were good, though, but the ones that were not really got to me. I love this video because now I shoot still photography for corporate events, parties, BTS (behind the Scenes) on red carpets, celebrity events, movie and music video sets, and even concerts. I do not do weddings or funerals anymore because of clashes with venue staff or third-party vendors. Done. Over with. Lower Stake gigs are better for me but still need contracts like the one in this video. Thanks Eric !!!

I just had a horrible client that refused to pay after I did all the editing and 2 days of filming and photographing. This contract would have saved me so much money.

I had a wedding earlier this year where the DJ had a five person team and on that team there was a videographer. I never said anything to the couple but in my contract it has exclusivity terms. Plus the DJ was a jerk bag, and I never say that about other vendors.

Here is a big chunk of whats in my contract, what do you think? The client(s) understand that due to the artistic nature of this photography service, that there is no guarantee that the client(s) will find 100% of the photographs artistically pleasing, which in such case will not entitle the client(s) to any discounts or refunds. The photographer will to the best of his ability deliver photographs that will be in his own judgment artistically pleasing. The client(s) understand that factors outside of the photographer’s control may occur that can affect the artistic look of the photographs such as weather conditions, time of day, event location, event rules, event lighting, participation of the subjects of photographs, and amount of time given to the photographer. The client(s) understand that there is no promised specific amount of finished photographs as the final quantity varies based on the length of time of the event and number of guests. For example a 2 hour event could yield 90 photographs and a 12 hour event could yield 540 however the amount could be higher or lower. The client(s) understand that no digital raw files (unedited photographs) are released, and only edited photographs that the photographer has judged worthy of being been seen are released.

I think going with a photographer that gives the rights of the photos to the bride and groom is the way to go. Family and friends may have to pay for photos. When the photographer has the rights to the photos you won't necessarily be able to give them to family and friends. You can end up spending a lot of money. If you have the rights you can do whatever you want with them because they are YOUR special day.
