Thanks Wendy. I have a doubt. Can we use this same Essay structure for longer essays with 1000-1200 Words ? Or do we need to change anything like tweaking the intro or conclusion ?

Yes, you can use this structure - but you will most likely have to expand the body paragraphs. For example, one point may be an entire paragraph. The intro and conclusion would essentially be the same. Hope this helps!

How could I go about setting this up for an 8-page argumentative paragraph? Would it still be an Intro paragraph, 3 Body paragraphs, Counter argument paragraph, and then a conclusion paragraph? Seems 6 paragraphs would not be enough for 8 pages. or am I mistaken?

An 8-page paper will be much more detailed. You will need to make an outline with your specific examples and details. Your points may take 1, 2, or 3 paragraphs to clearly state what you want the reader to understand. Thus, you will need more evidence per point - if that makes sense. It's an expansion of this basic overview. For example, your counter argument may be 2 or 3 or even 4 paragraphs depending on what research you have done into the subject matter. I hope this helps. @@shahlaalahmad4657 Each paragraph of your essay will require different types of phrases, but for this particular essay - the Counterargument and Refutation have some specific phrases that may help you. When starting your Counterargument, you can use phrases such as: Some people say that..., Some argue that..., or While it may be thought that... It's important to note that when introducing the counterargument, you can use use modals (might, may, could, etc) to make the opposition's argument sound weaker. For the Refutation, you will need to use a transition word or phrase to show you are in opposition to the previously mentioned argument.
