I have gotten so many calls from adjusters asking me how to write an automobile estimate. When this awesome video came on the scene. All I do now, when I get a call, is direct the adjusters to this video. They express to me how helpful this video is. Awesome job Mr. Brown.

This is an extremely well put together video. It will prepare you for immediate work. The detail in how Spenser Brown demonstrates how to write the perfect estimate is phenomenal. If you are interested in a career path in field or desk auto independent adjusters or just want to know how your car is assessed when storm damage occurs, you will be pleasantly surprised by the knowledge you gain from this video. Thanks and kudos to Spenser Brown on this video!

I loved watching you Spence! I had to do 4 estimates as home work and I watched your video while I did them all, your energy and knowledge were just what I needed to not feel overwhelmed and lost!

This video is awesome and will provide much help not only for those who are new to auto adjusting, but also for those who are already adjusters. I wish I had this to refer to when I first got started. It truly would have taken away a lot of anxiety. I knew absolutely nothing when it came to knowing what needed to be R&I (Remove and Install) replaced, repaired, etc. Good job explaining the terminology. For those who need to understand how to write the estimate, this video is really going to be a great help if watched and studied before going into orientation because they will then be ahead of the game and will be able to better understand the terminology and everything else that the presenter will be teaching. Great job Spenser putting this video together. It is very detailed from beginning to end I’m sure many will greatly appreciate all your efforts. Much success and many blessings to those who are starting out as an adjuster. It’s truly a great field to be a part of.😊

At what percentage threshold is it considered a total loss and not repairable?
@theperfectestimate Жыл бұрын
In most cases 75% of the value of the vehicle and this mostly apply to collisions & wind debris. Floods Vehicle, it depends on the flood level and Hail damage vehicle, there's a matrix provide by the insurance company and the percentage is different, depending on the vehicle.
@DanielPerez-mb7wm Жыл бұрын
Prior shop estimator and insurance adjuster here. Mainly It’s set by state insurance commissioner law. Exp MD is 75% of the AVC Some states are 100% damage over the ACV ( Actual Cash Value). As a shop you prepare the estimate to determine the scope/cost of the repair. The shop can use NADA values as a GUIDE or estimate of the ACV. Is the cost to repair 75% greater then the ACV? If so it’s probably a total loss. Now as a insurance adjuster I need to make that call and not the shop. Why? Because the insurance company is the one who is writing off the car, dealing with payments and title and salvage disposal. In some cases a insurance company can total a car at any % Exp flood claim, mold, bio hazard claim. Let’s say a car was flooded, These are just written off if the water went above the rocker panel. It can become a headache car / claim for years to come to the insurance company and most importantly the owner.
