Thank for making this since i am a game developer and believe it or not i learn how to make my own gaming score by looking at people like you orchestrating and my score is almost finish. I have a bit of theory but use it very minimally, i go by ear and if it sound good then I'm happy with it. The hardest part for me was to make dark middle eastern melodies but with a few learning on the phrygian dominant scale and the Maquam scale i was able to pull it out.

Great video Alex!! A free Orchestra library by Project Sam,?Wow thats really nice! And a good marketing strategy to capture new customers,heh,heh Yes we musicians and hobbyists know all the tricks, these companies play,ha,ha Noticed straight away with my eagle eyes!! Why are you using the the junior version of Cubase aka Studio One,lol. Thought you would be using Cubase Pro,ha,ha .Anyways goes to show what can be done,without spending lots of money of expensive libraries. Great stuff!!

I am using Cubase for around but 20 years but also use Studio One. It needs two little fixes in Studio One and then it is finally good bye to Cubase. The workflow in Studio One is phenomenal compared to Cubase.

Danke dir! Was meinst du mix ungemixt?
@wilckaudio32802 жыл бұрын
@@AlexPfeffer Ich meine damit, dass du "nur" den Master Bus mit Plugins bearbeitet hast, aber nicht die einzelnen Spuren/Instrumente.
@AlexPfeffer2 жыл бұрын
@@wilckaudio3280 Ah ok.
@wilckaudio32802 жыл бұрын
Danke!

Nice video! This free library sounds pretty amazing. New to your channel -really like the frame you use for your PIP. . Briefly - did you use Cubase before and change to Studio One? I'm an Ableton user but need a more full-featured DAW so woking on a choice. Thank you again!

Hey Charles and welcome, no I actually use both! I would prefer Studio One but for now stick to Cubase for orchestral stuff and video.

Excellent tutorial, Alex. I'm just curious about anything you used in the inserts or in the master channel? The sounds, particularly the tutti hits, power strike and bombastic basses sound so rich and thick. Love from India. . .

Hey Alex, thank you for this very nice video. I loved watching it, and it is quite nice to see, that my workflow does not much differ from yours in the video. How much more would you need for a "real" trailer cue?
@AlexPfeffer4 жыл бұрын
Hey, well of course way longer and I would also take more time to polish the sounds, EQ a bit more. It would of course also be longer with a normal trailer cue. So something around 2:30 mins

Thank you Alex! Like it! I guess ProjectSAM library doesnot multiply out, so we cant load one KONTAKT and distribute the output for each sound. Every track will need kontakt loaded
@AlexPfeffer3 жыл бұрын
In these times I think opening an additional track is not that ressource intensive. As far as I know you can also deactivate individual sounds, so loading the same patch doesn't take additional ressources.

This video is amazing! It really helps a lot. Question. How much planning did this take? Did you have an idea for a melody, progressions etc before you started recording? I'd really like to know more about your process. If you can share.
@AlexPfeffer4 жыл бұрын
Hey man, to be honest I didn't really prepare for this. Just a quick idea about that rhythm and that's it. The rest is just recording and editing on the fly.

Hey Alex, how have you got the FO in the main panel of Kontakt?, I have to navigate the file browser to find mine?,
@AlexPfeffer4 жыл бұрын
I think I got a serial number in my Project Sam account that let's you add it to Native Access
@OneShortMoment4 жыл бұрын
Lycan Studios - maybe you‘ve just got the „old“ version of TFO: When Project Sam first released it (on a piece by piece / monthly basis), the instruments were in fact only available for full Kontakt - so opening them in the file browser was the only way. A few months ago though, Project Sam „re-released“ all the TFO instruments (as one big bundle) for Kontakt Player... So depending on WHEN you downloaded the TFO, your experience might be totally normal/expected. (If that‘s indeed the case for you, you can go to the Project Sam website and just request the TFO again, which would give you the „new“ version which shows up in the library panel. Be aware though, that the instruments and the samples are exactly the same... so, apart from those „cosmetics“, there’s no need to do so.)

I've some questions. Are this library pre panned? Also in orchestral or cinematic music do we need side chain?
@AlexPfeffer3 жыл бұрын
Not sure about prepanned, you may want to check the website. I think sidechaining isn't that much needed in orchestral/cinematic music, unless you want to create the typical BD pumping sound.

Thank you so much! To be honest, I don't hear any different in no matter what DAW. Wether it is ProTools, Cubase, Logic or whatever is out there. They sound absolutely the same. If you experience a difference the issue is probably your internal pan laws. The only DAW which sounds completely different is Mixbus because it offers all those fancy console thingies. Of course Studio One got those console fx too but in this video I had them turned off.
