Also, for those who want to become a good lyricist 2 books I recommend highly: The Craft of Lyric Writing by Sheila Davis, and Writing Better Lyrics by Pat Pattison. He's a professor at the famous Berkley Music School, and has written more books on the subject. Lastly, study the greats like Sting etc.
