It depends from institute to institute, in my case they hadn't asked in IISc but it was mandatory for IITM during form filling.

Hi Shivansh, I guess there would be some final year project, which you would have done atleast on paper. You can highlight the key objective of that, apart from that you can try to fe honest, sometime proffesor get impressed by honest answer. You can tell polite manner that you wouldn't get the actual atmosphere for research in the past, and mention some event which changed your perspective and now you are looking for real research. Hi Ilius, Great to hear from you. Regarding word limit, some may ask as an attachment and mention the word limit and in some boxes, they might restrict to 500 words or so. It varies but It shall be mentioned somewhere on the site itself.

Typed, often emailed as well. Maybe you got confused at the 'rough cut' part, which is just for practise... Its easy to put your thoughts on paper than on screen...

Hi Tanmoy, Good to know your geniune doubt. See when I said in video to make handwritten sop, it's just in initial stage to come up with a raw sop since it would be faster for you to put point on paper. If you are good with typing, you should go for that. Remember the final sop generally(99%) has to be email or pdf only not handwritten. Hope it helps, do subscribe the channel.

Hi Gaurav, It depends on college professors choice of what criteria they need to set of.
