Salam, how do you take care of your qalam? like wash off the ink so it wont stain and making sure the qalam does not start to fray at the edges, i am using a bamboo qalam.

I dont recommend a marker to do Arabic Calligraphy the traditional way. But if there is no other option available, then you can write with it, find a chiseled marker and follow the same steps mentioned in the video
