I think it's extremely unlikely that companies with specialized tools, like Grammarly or DeepL, can survive in a world where OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, etc., can develop AI agents that will be able to do 100 different things. If you are writing something for school or work, you are not only interested in improving your grammar or your style, it's also important that it can check that the content is right, among other many things that will make it better, and those smaller companies won't be able to be competitive in that scenario.

I'm almost always on 2X and I had to double check it wasn't on normal. It's amazing how fast your brain can get used to 2X, and if I wasn't in my '60s I would likely be at a higher level.

I tend to do the same. The reason I speak more slowly is that the channel is for non-native English speakers, of whom there is a wide range of comprehension skill.

My, my, my! Who can judge which app writes better texts? Only those who write well and don’t need AI to write their texts. AI is for people who don’t know how to write. It’s as simple as that.

Not all, AI saves me time writing in terms of constructing the sentences after I have decided the content. In the world of AI and humans, nothing is as simple as that!

It is much easier to recognize whether something is correct than writing it yourself from the ground up, specially if you are not a native speaker. For example, I'm not good at translating Spanish into English, but I have no problem judging whether DeepL is better than Google Translate at that job (it's a DeepL win most of the time).
