How To Yard Element

Here we pull a 2wd (front wheel drive) K series transmission from a Honda Element. For those that may not be aware the Element 2wd trans is basically an AWD without a transfer case. The provisions for the transfer case exist, however, is plugged by a block off plate. The 2wd transmission may be a great source for parts when your current AWD breaks or if you decide to build on of your own. Thinking about stripping CRV engine and gearbox s in UK recently broke my b series transmission was poor so stripped it down and learned to rebuild it few synchro 3rd gear hub and sleeve taken from gearbox in scrap yard and car working like new only really need a few tools like all the videos great content

Thank you for all the amazing information and how to’s!!! Question…: Is the Automatic transmission Transfer case the same as the 5 speed manual transfer case on the Elements ? I have an auto at the yard near me and i have pulled the rear differential and shaft to convert my FWD to AWD, but don’t know the years for the crossover transmissions on the CRV or even if they will fit…?
