My 80 year old mom thinks I’m nuts when I tell her that our bodies store trauma and it makes us ill. I’m going to send this to her because everything said in this video is truth.

My mother also would’ve denied that trauma stays in the body But I know that in her case she does it because it is far easier to deny that trauma exists at all than to admit her behavior contributed to her children carrying trauma throughout their adult lives.

I really enjoyed this video. This video was posted the day before the 7-year trauma-versary of when I was SA by someone I trusted as a sports mentor when I was 18. I have made so much progress toward healing from it, and I'm very proud of myself for it. For years, there was so much pain and grief, and so many days I wanted to remove myself from this world. Part of me thinks I was meant to see this video today. Thank you for making this video. As someone who has experienced a lifetime of trauma before the age of 19, it truly means a lot to see others trying to bring more awareness to how deep the scars of trauma go. Thank you again❤️❤️

Trying to get out of the trauma literally makes you a genius, or in other words a person above life. ... Like any person whose life becomes healthy after an illness, when we touch the opposite, we rush in the opposite direction of pain with all our capabilities. ... The techniques are soothing, but deep self-understanding makes you connect with the dimension in which you feel shame and also love it. ... Especially if your new reality is better, you will feel that you are the strongest being on the face of the Earth. ... Because you have to collect all the nerve points eagerly inside your mind, to understand the whole picture. ... This effort is inhuman to ordinary people.

These conversations need to start focusing on constant and long term trauma. The kind that lasts for years, consecutively and starts in childhood. Some instances don't end until well into adulthood. Most people don't understand there are individuals who have lived through a decade or more of trauma that started very early and never ended. I am one of those people. It's so difficult to talk about. It's extremely difficult for me to explain and others understand.. I don't blame anyone. They don't have a frame of reference. They don't understand how it's possible. I just always end up alone in groups or spaces full of people. Still, the oddest thing is most people that meet me always want something from me. They want to take, but I don't understand what they think they'll get.

Learn to adapt. Otherwise, yes, stress will lead you to an early grave. Granted, for some individuals, that may not be so bad! :) Imagine being enslaved for decades upon decades more, doing the same menial tasks over and over and over, grinding on your joints, limbs, soul, and synapses again and again and again. At a certain point, if that has been a person's experiences over the years... d34th is a RELEASE. Freedom. Peace. Finality.
