He did. But you can’t predict confidence and the "between the ears" issues that Zach has had. Going to the Jets certainly contributed to Zach’s low floor and poor performances. Jets haven’t been good developing QBs. Lawrence might be lucky that the Jets didn’t get a swipe at him; the fans would not have been patient with Trevor. … And I root for the Jets. But it’s a rough environment here.

Agreed. As Jets fan we are collectively a terrible fan base, we have no patience whatsoever. The team has never had the ability to develop or support quarterbacks, there’s a reason Peyton opted to play his senior year rather than enter the draft when the Jets had the first pick - it was his best career decision. Lawrence is lucky the Jets didn’t draft him, he looks to be on the road to stardom. If Lawrence was a Jet he’d be running for his life behind a horrendous offensive line, operating in a highly predictable offense. Young quarterbacks need a good offensive minded coach, Doug Peterson is a great match for Lawrence and his talent. Hopefully the Jets hire the right Offensive Coordinator.

Describe Trevor Lawrence with one word. Patience. Composure. He is one of the hottest QBs in the league right now. If Urban "Oscar" Meyer (weiner) was still the coach Trevor Lawrence would be a huge bust. Doug Peterson + Trevor Lawrence is GOLD!! Great combination of player coach! Huge success! When I saw Lawrence in college he was a sure fire prospect. It says alot about how PISS POOR Urban Meyer is. UM was the worst HC in modern football history.

In the Kansas City, he took them the field a couple times and got nothing.. dropped the ball perfectly into Kirk's hands at the 10-yard.. and the receiver muffed it. Then had the perfect stuff before halftime to get a touchdown.. but, of course, there was a penalty. Never lost a bet quite like that. Getting 9 1/2 so you know what happened, and the Chiefs never did play that well, but always got that first down when they had to have it. The defense kicked ass as far as THE HITS were concerned. They won the PHYSICAL BATTLE with guys writing them off. The story within the story. Pedersen never got mad or frustrated.. looking at that same playcard.. it was like Andy Reid playing Andy Reid. Never say die. Say dice instead.
