EXACTLY!!! people are not aware that different refineries were developed for different crude sources. We have to ship our crude out of country because it is too 'crude' and building refineries is EXPENSIVE.

The last couple of years, the u.s. produced more energy than ever in history. According to a lot of people more production means cheaper gas. Oil companies are independent of government. Ceo of ExxonMobil said they are going to do what's in the best interests of shareholders, not us.

Gas here last night was $2.79⁹ which is about the same as it was under Trump. It's below average for the 106 year average, adjusted for inflation. Gas is not going to go even farther below average than it currently is, under Trump. Oil companies are going to need to increase the price soon to maintain profits. Gas will go up, not down.

Let’s consider this: the U.S. imports about 70% of its oil from Canada. If Canada decided to impose, say, a 40% tariff on that, gas prices in the U.S. would likely skyrocket to over $6 a gallon It’s worth noting that Trump himself negotiated the trade deal with Canada, yet now he’s seemingly going back on his own agreement. Karma has a funny way of working, and I can’t wait to see the reaction when U.S. citizens start to realize the consequences of these decisions.
