In norse mythology, Odin suspended himself from a tree in order to gain knowledge. Since Taehyun is usually associated with getting knowledge i think this is a reference to this story.

I love this connection! Also note that Odin has two ravens Huginn and Munnin as informants. Crows and ravens are symbols of intelligence/wisdom! Edit: although these birds seem to be actively hindering him from achieving knowledge, so maybe they’re the keepers/guardians not allied to Taehyun in the first place or they’re familiars that turn on him for some reason.

When it comes to the ravens hindering them, I have to think about how it is in dream interpretation. People have nightmares and don't want to have them, run away from them (wake up), but often these dreams are a hint of your body or mind that something is wrong and even though it seems contraproductive and bad, you should kinda go with the dream. Like for example people who have sleep apnoea might often dream that they are choked, or can't breath in another kind of way. Another example: I rarely had nighmares, but one theme came repeatedly from time to time, there was an emergency situation and I wanted to scream for help but couldn't, no sound came out. I rl after my ex divorced me (I had asked for changes and he wasn't in for that) I never had that kind of dream again. Had I just understood earlier. That's how I interpreted it afterwards: For years I haven't been happy in my marriage, I felt ignored, not taken seriously in my concernes and needs. But we were busy with work and kids (aka distracted), so my psychy cried for help (in my dreams) but noone was listening (since I didn't make a sound). Just like in life, where my husband was not really listening. I should have listened to my dreams, try to understand, reflect on my then husband and me and finally as a conclusion ended this useless marriage years earlier from my side. But we were busy, and it's never easy to divorce with kids, at least not for me. So my conclusion of this dream came too late.

You totally got my attention with your theory and I investigated and also found this: Another very popular mythological episode starring Odin has to do with the acquisition of knowledge. Beneath the roots of Yggdrasil (a superpowerful tree) is the Well of Mimir, a spring of wisdom guarded by the giant Mimir. Odin went there to drink from its waters and obtain scholarship. However, Mimir asked him for a great sacrifice in return. God offers his own eye to achieve knowledge (Taehyun's character fits really well in this). Thus, he becomes the wisest character, who knows everything except the future. SO, Tae doesn't really dies in the MV...

I wonder if the fact that Taehyun is the one swiping book because he can use magic is indicative of him being the one Beomgyu is fighting with in Eternally. If Beomgyu’s pain is that he is carrying the weight of protecting the others on his back, then maybe him withholding the book from Taehyun is him trying to protect him from the consequences of what would happen if he used the book or spells that may be in it.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the story line, however in BTS 2022 season's greeting (Star turned villian), each person has a role and Taehyung's one stood out as he was a tarot card reader/fate reader. He was surrounded with the clear beads, big and small, Soobin had with. There was also a black mask and cards on the table. He was holding up a card with a black figure. Just thought that it could be related to TXT storyline.

Back in the day, after fire music video when tae is seen using the 'controller' and some posters where only he had an earpiece, there was a very popular theory in the fandom that he was the one who was behind everything, eg that he was the one who told the principal to question jin about their hideout, thereby setting evething in motion. This theory gained a lot of support after his 'demonification' in bst and how he seemed to drag jin to the 'dark side' etc..there was a lot more 'evidence' but i don't rmbr hehe [even in spring day when only he was absent at a scene hehe but after the album behind he revealed that he'd just forgotten to go for that scene shoot 😂😂😂😂 arrgh the wasted theories!!] Anyway, after the whole reveal with the notes and webtoon etc this theory was forgotten, but i can't help remembering it now 😅

I was thinking about the “goodbye’ at the end of the Music Video, well, the lack of. with ouija boards, the idea is to summon spirits you want to communicate with. Moa. We don’t see Moa in the music video, maybe they were trying to communicate with Moa, which is why they went into the tent, (it kinda looks like a place you would use a Ouija board at too imo) “They’re sorta like a board game. (game reference) plus a *portal* into another *dimension*” The thing is, you always, say goodbye with Ouiji boards, not saying goodbye is like leaving that portal from the both dimensions open, allowing two worlds to collide when they shouldn’t. Not sure if this makes any sense, but a lot of bad things are referenced when you don’t say goodbye when you’re done with the Ouija board, I could just be looking too far into it/rambling nonsense, it could very well be HYBES way of saying it’s not over yet lol. Edit: forgot to mention that they’re also sometimes used a “Fortune tellers”

I’m pretty sure that Taehyun becomes one of the cloaked figures. He stole the book and maybe that corrupted him. Remember in “Eternally” how Beomgyu was protecting the book from someone. Maybe it was Taehyun. We also have the photo shoot were Taehyun was dressed like the cloaked figures.

My theory ( completely speculative, also a very long text ) Frost is when they visit magic island for the first time after growing up. They meet the cloaked person there who makes the boys play a game. The game starts when they flip the cards and happens completely inside their minds in a very little bit of time and they have to somehow fight and win the game. But I think the boys didnt succeed, yeonjun was shown trying to fight the sand figure but we never got to see the results, which makes me think he wasnt successful. Soobin tries to save huening kai but failed, taehyun has to hold on to the tree for some reason and maybe his game motive was to not fall, but he fell. Huening kai's might be to find his true self but he fails to do so and his evil side escapes the mirror mage which is why he failed. Now beomgyu, i think is working with the cloaked person or the bad guys, because he always seems sort of left out of the group and i think he kind of has this sad and guilty look on his face in the frost mv, blue hour mv and others too. So im not sure about beongyu's game. Continuing the game theory, since they all failed, they wake up from the deep sleep(?) They went into, and the cloaked person starts the freeze (because they failed) but taehyun steals the book which i believe has the ways and instructions (and maybe more details) about how to get to magic island. Which they follow in the magic island mv. Now this could also be why kai has mechanical wings in NOAS because according to this theory NOAS happens after frost and magic island. The evil huening kai does not have real wings so he wears the mechanical ones, pretending. About beomgyu, I think even thought he might be working with the bad guys, he starts developing affection for the other boys which makes him betray the bad guys.

We have seen Kai as a child before. I feel like that child on the rocking chair is Kai‘s doppelgänger… it also reminds me of the black smoke in enhypen that was after them. Darkness trying to swallow them whole… I believe that when ever we see that smoke it’s the same or a similar entity to the red light. Or that the smoke is an entity and the light is the boys them selves but both are equally negative. Internal vs external.

The link between time travel -> change in personality due to loss of memories/some sort of change in their 'soul', is verified in bts as well, as we can see the serious change in jin with each time he travels, till they find the MotS. Even thought the bead doesn't appear, it seems to loom in tje background.

I wanted to add to the discussion, that since Beomgyu’s D&D class is a druid, his quote fits very well, because druids are all about keeping the balance, him saying that darkness won’t last forever is quite meaningful. I don’t think he let out evil of the box since there isn’t an indication of something being released, but there is definitely a light (of hope?) inside that box he opened as you said. I’m definitely still not sure about his alignment over all to TXT, since druids are not really on a good or bad side. They’re on the side of nature or its gods. Like if the cat represents Abraxas it isn’t good or evil either necessarily. The boys cheat the order of the game/nature so there have to be consequences…

I'm sure someone's already beaten me to it, but I feel like an interesting analysis could come out of Taehyun's quest in comparison to the Hanged Man card in tarot. The hanged man does not seem entirely bothered by his position, dangling upside down, tied by one ankle on either a tree branch or an overgrown set of gallows, depending on how one interprets the card. The card is often interpreted as the universe dictating that the subject of the reading is somehow stuck and in need of being cut down by an outside force. (Though there are several other standard interpretations because, after all, tarot IS a divination tool.) Might be important to note that in The Fool's Journey through the major arcana, the next step after the Hanged Man is Death. Taking a good long look at that sequence might be fun, if not useful. Especially since in the Rider-Waite deck, Death looks a lot like our skull-masked Witch, and he rides a pale horse (maybe reminiscent of Yeonjun's scene with a white horse). Now I'm galaxy braining about how Temperance (symbolic of an angel, sometimes interpreted as Raphael) and the Devil follow Death in the major arcana, and all I can think about is Kai and his quest. Shortly after that, the Tower causes everything to fall apart, like some kind of unstoppable and horrible tragedy or upset must occur. Thinking about the uh...sink hole or big old explosion or whatever that keeps showing up. You know, the Bad Thing. The card right after that one? The Star. Guess we can do with that info what we wish. I hope that made some semblance of sense? Wonderful work with all your videos. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us.

You mentioned that crows can sometimes signal that someone around you is no longer themselves at THs part. Do you think that could be because of Kai? Also crows recognize human faces and are known to follow people who are kind to them and tell other crows who to look out for and who to avoid. Maybe TH is being targeted by crows because of this?

Okay, random theory, you know how you you mentioned the names thing? So, in a lot of fintion, names are said to hold power, could that have something to do with this? Also, could 'name' have something to do with their identity? Also about the black figures. So, we already know that time is beig messed with here, so could they memebers be the black figures or something? And maybe they were told by the cat, to fix the concequences of their actions, they had to do something involving their past self or something similar?? Also, for the Taehyun bit, someone in the comments mentions Odin, and in the MV, while Taehyun hangs from the tree, we see crows, and if you know Norse mythology, you'd know that Odin had two crows as pets. Also, again from they Taehyun bit, could the cloaked figure be Taehyun from the future since he took the book now and something happened? For hueningkai's bit, at the start of the song, he says "I'm so shocked" in a laughing voice and partly, kinda mad (as in like crazy/madness). Could that have been the Kai that escaped from the maze/mirror? For Soobin's bit, does the thing he has to endur a memory? Maybe a really bad one? Like you said, when we saw baby Hueningkai, he cried. Could that be a reference to Kai loosing his innocence and becoming...a comlpetely different person to what Soobin remembers? Maybe that happeneded to all the members and Soobin is the only one that remembers, since he IS the only one that looks through the glass bead (also, seeing how he watches the glass bead turn black, could that also reference to him watching all the members loss their innocence/become corrupt?) Fr Bemogyu's part, you mention Pandora's box. Could it be that Beomgyu's tryung to close it, and the loop symbolises that he can never get to to so close it/lock it with a key?

something id like to add to the doppelganger kai thing is the choreography for frost. in the opening (after the zzzt zzzt sound) we have the members line up in two lines with kai kneeling in the middle. the members lining up there reminded me of the frames of the mirrors in the frost mv. when the song finally starts, we have kai stumbling out of the "mirrors" and attacking yeonjun. later on we see him (and yeonjun) hold taehyun back (dragging him back too). we also see him butt heads with yeonjun, but yeonjun was the one who initiated it (maybe he'll have a fight with yeonjun ? or it could just symbolizes the conflict between them that this evil kai is creating ). later later on when the song reaches its ending, he steps out of the "mirrors" again. what do you think abt this laina TT

okay, I'm not sure if this even makes sense or not, or maybe I'm just stating the obvious but in 'Frost" Taehyun was the one who stole the book from the black cloak person, but then in 'Eternally' it was Beomgyu who was trying to hide/protect? the book from somebody (either Kai or Tae){Cause of the strips on their coats}. I think that It was actually Gyu who tried to steal(?) the book from Tae so that he could also understand what was going on but Tae wanted to solve the mystery(?) with the clues in the book {that's what his photocards always state "solving the clues and all"} but Gyu wouldn't give the book back to him thus "the fight in room 17". I'm not really sure how the book then ended up with Soobin later on but anyways I'm not even sure if this fits with the timeline of the mv's.

I'm just thinking, what if gfriend trying to save txt because they've met before at the festival? Like not to use time loops many times. But, instead txt forgot them because they've separated. So, gfriend used the butterflies to go back to the past but failed. So, they've used all the butterflies and became witches. This is just my opinion tho. I'm not sure about it

idk how to explain but i always thought taehyun was a bit suspicious, he has that doll that could be some sort of voodoo doll since it has each of the members pains on its body, and thought maybe hes using it for evil? this isnt a complete theory but for whatever reason he could've been influenced to be evil so some extent, maybe even out of desperation to try and find the clue hes looking for to escape this loop. whatever's influenced him this way could be symbolised thru the crows, like at 21:45 he looks to be fine while the crows are just eggs and not yet hatched, but after theyve hatched hes in trouble and theyre pecking at him until he 'falls' which could be him giving in to this evil? theyve also talked about betrayal in friendships etc a lot, maybe this could be part of that? taehyun could be betraying them for whatever reason and perhaps beomgyu knows this hence why he attacks him in cysm phew long theory but yea idk idk

I have a question. Why do you think it’s Kai that Boemgyu is fighting in Eternally. I thinks it’s Taehyun, because he stole the book and Beomgyu wants to take it from him. Maybe because he’s a liar. And also at the beginning of Yeonjun’s quest (at 1:44) we see him kneeling in the sand and around him cat paw prints start to appear. As if the cat is walking around him, waiting until he calls it and makes a deal with it.

Its cuz Hyuka's outfit matches with the one of the person fighting Gyu. Besides, the person looks a little taller idk. And the footprints in the sand are from the "dog" who turned put to be bad and had red eyes. OH I forgot to mention- about that being Hyuka fighting Gyu and not Tae... remember that Hyuka is kinda evil now! This version of him isn't the angelic one anymore.

Blue hour is the time riiiight between golden hour and the actual sunset when the sky turns a kind of blue colour and the shadows set in (but usually for txt it looks really similar to golden hour yes!)
