In my opinion, INTPs "inevitability" stems from their pessimistic functions, both in the ego and the shadow. The sharp Ne parent with how responsble it is with its forsight combined with the Fe in aspirational mode can provide the most efficient choices for anyone to be better. While their shadow reinforces with using their will with Ni critic and principles with Fi demon/angelic to give structure and brings things to reality to what they foresee.

UDSF INTP I also didn't talk until I was 4. Went to hundreds of family events. Didn't make one friend or met my first love out of those social gatherings. Sucks bad. Would draw on telephone books, the back of advertisements/white spaces of the page. Eventually learned how to draw realistic portraits. My Fi was also appealed to in terms of performance arts (I had the lowest Fe in my Fe based family and become the ENTJ/sole Fi user). So I thought I was a Fi user my whole life. I went from a delinquent on the verge of getting kicked out of middleschool to a top student/generalist in high school. Servitude/servility is full of making self sacrifices. It's not simply volunteering/helping others. My family sponsored both sides of my family from Cambodia, was used to seeing family immigrants occupy my house before they sought their own. Lack of stability and I didn't have much sibling or parental interactions growing up. I was the garage dwelling gaming INTP hooked on Diablo 2 for years. Life felt so pointless around the family, so I desired to seek meaning by exploring/discovering what was out there.

CSJ typed me as INTP 2 or 3 years ago. I didn't have the art thing. So maybe I'm ego or Sub-Con focused. I'm 51 now, so could be very Sub-Con. But, the not talking for a long time. Yeah, I had that. And my family was alarmed by it. The city Public Schools thought I had some type of learning disability, early on. They put me into the LD program. The city PS gets extra state funding for each child in that program. But they gave me some tests over the years and realized they had made a mistake. They tried to keep me in the LD program to keep the extra funding flowing, but my test scores were through the roof. My 7th grade test results were on the college level. So I got promoted from 7th to 9th grade. And was givin the choice of ANY high school in the city or the county to attend (this included the magnet High Schools ; which had a required lottery-drawing to attend). I would bypass the lottery and they would bus me to any HS of my choice, if needed.

It’s just like with my ISTP daughter and I, and INTP. We don’t talk about a lot of things other than surface level conversations. She is even less talkative than myself albeit not as introverted as I am
@seetsamolapo5600 Жыл бұрын
How do you contrast introversion with talkativeness? Most people seem to conflate the two
@mrod8578 Жыл бұрын
I am super talkative around my nuclear family members when I'm in the mood. Much of the time I prefer alone time but I can pretty much talk any of my siblings or parent's ear off lol. If I had an ISTP brother or sister it would probably be the same even if they were rolling their eyeballs. All they need to do is bring up a subject that I'm interested in to trigger me. 😂
@mrod8578 Жыл бұрын
@@seetsamolapo5600 Yeah I can be rather talkative and people seem to think because you can be talkative you're extraverted which is not always the case. I think the main sign of introversion/extraversion is whether you are more likely to initiate discussion (extraverted) or whether you are more likely to respond (introverted). Now because I have done sales, I have learned to initiate because it was a requirement but in most of my life and life in general it is usually another person that initiates discussion whereby I then respond by being talkative. If there isn't someone initiating with me I usually don't speak outside of work where I was literally trained to be initiating. I have always figured if no one is initiating with me, it's not worth my time to talk because I only have so much energy lol.

I'm also autistic, INTP, and what you said about art makes so much sense considering I'm a GIS major (mapping). Basically GIS offers elements that are appealing to logical problem solving and cartographic display principles for the ISFP superego
@diotimamyrina8 ай бұрын
yeah I have an isfp professor who's obsessed with layering symbolic things in maps, arbitrarily drawing things (intuitive observations, meaning people give to things(ni-te), like landmarks) over each other in tracing paper over maps, my only gis professor is an intj, intp mapping probably involves more attention to physical detail
@jbrendel988 ай бұрын
@@diotimamyrinai think INTP GIS is more about brainstorming abstract solutions for future outcomes like solving logical problems that would allow for the future growth of one's community ie urban planning using Ti/Ne dominant functions. ISTP GIS is probably more what you're talking about, getting more into physical and practical elements and they would probably be more likely to explore ArcGIS Solutions and Utility Networks and Parcel Fabric.
@diotimamyrina8 ай бұрын
@@jbrendel98 ok interesting idk much about gis or the others you mentioned tbh i was talking about mapping in general and confirming that cartographic display is an isfp element and that in comparison intp would care more about attention to physical detail due to si, but of course would be driven by the ne things you mentioned. Yeah istp would be close but would probably be digital and practical while my isfp professor is freehand or graphics

@diotimamyrina8 ай бұрын
@@jbrendel98lmao I get that but still it's an ego function and it's on an axis with ne so it's definitely gonna be used when you do any work involving the senses or physical data, digital mapping is basically putting order in the physical.. you're actually using si even with these comments because you're so focused on gis and your type of environment that at first you didn't see the different areas of physical work/art I mentioned or you did briefly but pushed them to the back of your head and didn't take them into account in your answer (no offense I do the same) .. also I've noticed that in art related projects se often cares about rough outlines and material textures while si cares about sculpting or designing 2d textures
