I'm actually hesitant to imagine this FTA happen. Apart than the logical and strong reasons for India to delay this FTA, there's more. You see, it's a long and prone history of UK to backstab India. @@pikachue602 Nobody is stopping India to pour millions in advertisements about India, when India is now richer economically than Britain and doing extremely well for itself. Why blaming the ambassadors? They are not asking Indians to settle in the UK. It's not Oxford or R&D, it is in general for better life, hundreds of thousands of Indians running away to Britain every year.Apart from working in professional fields, lot of Indians working in low quality jobs in Britain. Why cannot 5th largest economy India provide jobs to these people?

This is a programme the 1st world country does not just recently but even during the Ww2 it did the same for more millitary and other service personnels in Phillipines they target the nurses , hotel management graduates etc.. Just like how the USA pours billions out there in the third world for people to migrate selling the American dream.. And yes UK is a developed country ,hence the ads work well in their favour.. But India is a developing country with world's largest population . Why should it pour a single penny on such diplomatic advertisement??? We're still finding it difficult to create a strong ground for RnD and other measures in edu sector and job skill sector..... Also we're forced to spend a heavy amount on military already due to our geographical cursed scenario .. So it is simply out of question??? And our foreign ministry is already thrashed in the parliament for being so tight budgeted and having insufficient funds.... And very low wages to the officials..So why should one spend on such fruitless endeavour??? Also Oxford like pretty old edu institutions and RnD's are the major reasons for Indian resettlement in UK and other nations rather than just the infrastructure..........

Indians should stop being hypocrite calling UK a worse place, smaller economy, Karma... blah blah...and then desperate to move to Britain. I see in my workplace how Indians are so desperate to settle down in Britain. Strange isn't it, for people from so called fastest growing, 5th largest economy? Huge influx of Indians to Britain and turning this country into another India!!! Certainly British people are not at all happy to see and Britain certainly not encouraging Indians to settle down in the UK.
