Well, does Trinidad have a large Coast guard to keep a track of approaching vessels around the island ? Drug smugglers are using submarine type of vessels to transport illegal drugs and weapons. Hard to track those, if you don't have the equipment to track them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3PUZGifodWlrMk

Trinidad is a very tiny island in the Orinico delta. Native peoples have been traversing the waters for centuries...even up and down the Americas, on every island, in their little boats! We’re also actually closer to Venezuela than to Tobago. Don’t forget that we been going to Venezuela (and other islands) that way too.

If the Ven situation does not change, they are going to outnumber the Trinidadian population and with their track record they will fight the weak Trinidadians and government, as they are already doing, who will not have the guts to stand up for their country. Just my opinion. Its coming. You better learn Spanish. The greed for money and corruption make things worst. Some people who are on this planet for a short while just think of their pockets and don't care how they destroy their country. One day these people will treat the locals like garbage.

One of the first things the former PM did when she got into office was sell the high-tech coast guard boats the previous PM had bought, so for five years T&T were operating on some really low-tech boats. Then again, everyone knows that our coastline is totally open. Their population is about 30 times that of T&T and at this rate it would take just about five years for them to be about 1/3 of our population.

No Venezuelan wants to leave their country unless they're wealthy and have a house in Miami. It's a survival thing. Do you think they like our murder rate, xenophobia and gang violence? No. And don't treat Venes like they haven't done anything for Trinidad. Many of our families came from there and still have ties. What amazes me is how slow the UN Applications are moving for relocation and this is a problem even before Covid.

Your attempt to explain how Venezuelan citizens enter Trinidad and Tobago does have its merit in its approach to HOW it may be done. However you keep using the term “ MIGRANT” throughout your video, which is absolutely ridiculous. These Venezuelans cannot be considered as migrants, since they enter into the country outside the proper “legal” channels. Therefore those entering Trinidad via your description are considered “ ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS “...not Venezuelan migrants. There are proper ways of “migrating” from one country to another across international borders via air, land or sea. Anything outside these proper channels are illegal and those found to be doing so can be prosecuted by law. Also, don’t be fooled by those dock owners talking about the reduced influx of illegals. In this world...MONEY TALKS my young friend. They’re not going to expose themselves if they’re up to any wrong doing as long as they’re being handsomely paid.

It's a sad situation, as many are leaving due to wanting a better life...BUT, they become victims of trafficking and smuggling in this process. Not to mention the stigma, discrimination, and exploitation by local citizens. This may lead to Gender-Based Violence, poor mental health, and STI/HIV transmission. What I have noticed is many Venezuelans are using technology to migrate. In close to legitimate ways by going onto social media sites and capturing lonely and irrational men and women into believing they are in a relationship and asking for assistance in documents and /or apace to stay. What is sad is to unsuspecting, nieve locals they believe in finding love in a relationship on Facebook or Instagram and put their lives at risk. The result you are harboring an irregular migrant who may affect your life here not only by just being illegal and being a fraud but they could produce anchor children at the state's expense to stay or transit to another country.

Really think that “penetrate” was the wrong choice of word. It paints Venezuelans as criminals for entering Trinidad, which is kind of inaccurate given the current situation. Also Trinidad and Tobago does not have borders, that’s an Americanism. We have coastlines.
@yadavmohip117
@yadavmohip117 4 жыл бұрын
we have borders miles off of our coastlines. Like most borders there is no physical evidence of this. You are confusing the specific Mexican border (which has a physical barricade to prevent entry) with the general word border. Every country has borders my friend. Whether it be land or sea. That is what makes you a country. Our borders and Venezuelan borders are many times a point on contention.

@@voiceofthetruth8047 Pretty soon they will move up further because it will get too crowded. Waiting for COVID to go away to visit my island to see what is left from my childhood memories. I am surely working on my Spanish. Everytime I travel, the books come out. It looks like I will have to do the same for Trinidad. Thanks to America. They surely have the countries by their horns.

saw a white man talking with a Jamaican accent at lords cricket ground during the lunch time interval between west indies and England . there was a crowd around him just listening to him talk like a Jamaican it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen everyone was falling about laughing. the thing was the white man was only being himself as he was a white man from Jamaica.when you live in england many years and see white people talking with English accents and then out of the blue you have a white guy talking like a Jamaican is very very funny.

@@trinihammer that's why many white jamaicans don't like to travel to other white countries because they think they are mocked and made fun of for who they are.

@@manovrsb , dont worry its not only white jamaicans that are made fun of. i am trinidadian living in england one day i was in a mcdonalds and i heard a white man ordering his big mac meal with a trinidadian accent. i just had to go over and ask him if he was from trinidad to which he replied he was. it just sounded so weird watching a white man talking in an accent that is mainly attributed to black people when 99.9% of the white people talk in an english accent.

@@trinihammer true what's common in England and the states is bizarre to us Jamaicans. In fact Jamaicans are so used to seeing white Jamaican that's they can't tell them from foreigners. Most Jamaican would approach a white person speaking patois.

@@manovrsb. Guys, in these scenarios... I don't believe that people giggle or laugh at the "subject" person out of any maliciousness. It's that something/someone who is extremely unique to their setting (or environment) makes the avg. person stop, pause, & take notice. Example, up until I was twenty-something years old... I had never encountered very many Chinese who grew up in di islands. So imagine my surprise & amusement when I was in Brooklyn, NYC years ago wid ah pardnah & his peoples. We went by this Island Restaurant somewheh bout.' The servers, hosts, & cashiers were all Chinese with authentic "Yard" accents. Blew my mind at the time. 😊
