Today is the Fourth of July, which means fireworks! Though fireworks are fun for most, they can act as a trigger for some people - like veterans.

It always baffles me how inconsiderate so many people seem to be when it comes to insisting that it's their holiday and nothing will stand in their way of lighting off fireworks, even at all hours of the night. My dad was a retired marine who served in Vietnam - he struggled with this every Fourth of July and it was heartbreaking how he never wanted to be the cause of us not celebrating with fireworks. I'm so sorry our Vets have to endure this.

Between scaring the $hit out of every dog and now this why do we still allow fireworks at all?

@@kendallevans4079 Imagine living in parched AZ and years back our (R) Governor Jan Brewer in her infinite wisdom approved fire works. The area I live in Phoenix has them going off in 360 degrees that freaks the 💩 out of my dog and others in the area. You can't fault them, some of the fire works have substantial percussion that you feel through walls I'm a vet and it disturbs me too, not real severely yet noticably.
