I remember playing this Harry Potter game on my gameboy as a child and there was this level where I had to sneak out of somewhere without getting caught by Snape. Idk if I was just a stupid child, but his was HARD. Snape kept catching me over and over and over and over again forcing me to the beginning of the level to try again and again. Even if the game expects you to lose the fight, winning should at LEAST trigger a cutscene where the boss acknowledges the player's strength or shows frustration at them holding out for so long. If the devs REALLY want it to be a stomp, the fight shouldn't require a win. Just have the player survive as long as possible, done and done.

Ever beaten one of those bosses the dev intended to be impossible? Yeah, this is like a milder version of that. You literally kill the boss after finding a bug in which you can lower it's insane health all the way for for like an hour, you kill it and... What do you get? A cut-scene showing you bloody on the floor after you killed the boss. The boss suddenly alive and standing over you, taunting you on how easily you were beaten. Then the entire story becomes FOCUSED on the fact you were BEATEN on that first fight. Like, damn. It sucks to be so good they just bended reality.
